Montecito Destination Wedding by Alexandra Kolendrianos

When I was planning my own wedding, which feels like decades ago (and man oh man would I love to have a re-do), I had a clear vision of what I wanted. A traditional Boston wedding, with modern touches and simple but chic color palette. But had I taken one look at today’s featured wedding that Alexandra Kolendrianos designed and Megan Sorel photographed, I might have jumped ship and done something just like this. Total romance, total glam.

This was one of the romantic weddings that I have ever produced and witnessed!  Not only was the planning a dream with Megan and Aaron, but the finished product came to life so beautifully.  It was an amazing team of professionals that put their heart and soul into the Bride and Groom’s special day, and it truly was a fairy tale for the couple.

It was a destination summer wedding at a Private Estate in Montecito, CA.  I took them to the estate about 8 months before and the moment they walked on the grounds, they knew this was the spot for their wedding.  I describe their wedding as Vintage Romance. The color palette for their day was a mix of whites, ivories and hints of purple.  The decor was a combination of vintage and shabby chic.  Silver, crystal and mirrored floral containers glistened by the candle light and white chabby chic lounge vingettes were tucked throughout the reception and hidden in the gardens.

Crystal chandelliers hung in the reception in different sizes and seemed to float with the lounges in the gardens.  The ceiling fabric in the reception was softly backlit with a hint of purple. I could go on and on describing each detail, but I think that the pictures speak for themselves.  Megan Sorel Photography captured the true essence of the romance and feeling of the day!

Can you please tell us a little more about the bridesmaid dresses? I am also letting the bridesmaids select their own dresses and these are the shades I have given them...on the Vera Wang site is difficult to determine the actual colors. What colors are those dresses? Thank you in advance!

Absolutely beautiful! Can you tell me where you got the candle holders that are glass and have a gold wire outline detail (in the photo they are on a mirror next to a vase with flowers). I've been looking for something just like that and can't find it anywhere. Thanks for your help in advance!

is the location available to rent for weddings or was it an acquaintance of the bride and groom? I am planning my wedding and have been searching for an estate that has a lawn large enough to accommodate a tent. Any suggestions?
