Jillian and I have had some time to reflect on our amazing and special time in Cabo and San Francisco and we want to thank you for being instrumental in making both events happen for us. As I am sure you can understand, it is hard to have any sense of perspective on your own wedding (isn’t it always special for the bride and groom?), but the letters and comments we have received from our guests have just confirmed our own beliefs. We know you both worked your tails off for us and we really appreciated your efforts. Both events were fantastic and unique in their own way, but most importantly, our goal was to make sure all of our friends and family had a great time and I think we achieved that with flying colors.

We just returned to Chicago and I’m sorry I haven’t written sooner to tell you how much we all appreciated the outstanding job that you did for us for Leigh’s wedding. It was perfect in every way. You guys all really understood Leigh’s vision and executed it perfectly. All the details were fantastic. I’ve been getting all these thank you notes and I feel that I should really pass them onto you because you did all the hard work to make it happen so beautifully. Thank you so very much!!! When it’s Dana’s turn I will be calling you up- I can’t imagine planning a wedding with anyone else.

I can’t imagine our wedding without Alison. Hiring her was the easiest and smartest thing we could have done in preparation for our destination wedding and rehearsal. Her calming demeanor, ability to so smoothly handle various personalities, flawless sense of style, strong negotiating skills and fun personality made her such a great partner in the planning process. Alison kept us under budget, kept us on top of all of our tasks and helped keep the big picture and feel of the wedding in the forefront. It was difficult at first for my parents to hand over the control of our wedding to a “stranger.” However, the day of the wedding, my Father told me that having Alison and Kelsey, was the best thing we did for the wedding. Everything ran smoothly from rehearsal dinner to reception. Six months later, I still get people telling me how wonderful, fun and relaxing the whole weekend was and I attribute a lot of it to Alison’s team’s hard work.

Where do I begin to thank you guys?! I will do so properly when I get back from Hawaii but I just had to tell you that everything was just perfect, seamless and fantastic. I never thought I would say this (considering that B and I were originally more on the City Hall tip) but our wedding day was one of the best days of my life. I know that Bjoern feels the same way. We would not have been able to accomplish any of this without you guys. Thank you so much for helping to make this happen. It goes without saying that you guys are pros but I would add that it was so wonderful to have you be a part of this special day for us. We were told repeatedly by our guests that this was the best wedding they had ever attended. We’re just overwhelmed by the whole experience.

On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best, I’d give you a 12. You did an excellent job coordinating the wedding and all the components from the band to the flowers to the valet. You helped us select the best in each critical area and made sure they were fully committed. In addition to all the tasks you perform, you are great stage managers. You both remained calm, cool and collected. I would gladly recommend you to anyone planning a major event to include weddings. As you realize, I was actively involved in the planning and questioned a number of your suggestions. I then accepted virtually 100% of them. I’m convinced that you are both experts at planning weddings.

“Though skeptical at first regarding actually saving money, I sincerely believe that working with Alison Events saved us money, let alone a great deal of time. Alison maintains her relationships with vendors for more than just one wedding and this dynamic is helpful in getting vendors to be reasonable and work hard to keep Alison’s business. Further, she is very well connected and her vendors can figure out how to work within a budget. In selecting vendors, we were starting with the very best options where we frankly couldn’t go wrong. That saved so much time and frustration in selection. The vendors we met through Alison were so phenomenal. I can’t highlight this point enough. Everyone from the photographer to florist to the DJ was very professional, way cool, very easy to work with and people who we would love hang out with personally. I was surprised what a difference that made to all of our guests and to us. From the minute we met Alison we knew that we would all work well together. Alison’s team is creative, responsive and they have the attention to detail to make the day go smoothly. Her exceptional interpersonal skills had the greatest impact the day of our wedding. That is such an important quality on a day where various people with different personalities have emotions running high and we really appreciated that about her. My mother-in -law told me the day of the wedding that “Alison is the bomb” – kind of funny to hear from your new mother-in-law but it sums it all up!”
