The theme was Pineapples in Paradise and this bright shindig came complete with a gilded pineapple bowling set.

From Katie...

" At 28, there is so much to celebrate. In November 2014, my licensing deal for the Map Necklace with A.JAFFE went live, and with that, new opportunities arose, including a job as their in-house Creative Strategist starting concurrently with my birthday."

" The idea of the Map Necklace is to take any address in the world and engrave it onto a precious metal plate, marking your location with a small diamond.

I got the idea for the necklace when my little sister was studying abroad in Europe. I made a map necklace of our childhood home in Connecticut, that way she could have a little piece of home wherever she went."

" I wanted to have all of the people I love most in the world over to the house where it all began; let everything come full circle."

"The Map Necklace was designed to commemorate the moments in our customers' lives that have defined them in some way and the milestones that have made them into the people they are today.

This was the house that built me; these were the people that made me into the person I am today, and I wanted to celebrate both the best way I know how: With goden pineapples, watermelons cut-out like flamingos, balloons the size of beach balls, and the warmest, happiest, most supportive group of party guests imaginable."

No pool party is complete without flamingo floats for your cocktail.

Using flamingo and crab cookie cutters, Katie cut out watermelon and pineapple for munching on. We call that idea pure genius.

Fresh fruit and cocktails waited poolside.

The tropical buffet table included the brightest accessories Katie could get her hands on. And various forms of straw-ware were a total must.
