Fabulous Details by Elsje

June 5th. 2009 by Abby Larson | 10 comments

Elsje is one of those blogs that I stalk. They don’t update everyday, but when they do…watch-out. They put the most fabulous features up that will literally make you want to drop every wedding decision you’ve ever made and do something even more perfect.

This is a wedding that I’ve been dying to feature for a while and the girls recently uploaded a few more images that really help to tell the story of the day. From personalized cigars to custom artwork printed on canvas pillows, every detail is absolute perfection.

Rehearsal Dinner by Amy Nichols

June 2nd. 2009 by Abby Larson | 13 comments

And speaking of great rehearsal dinners, I am head over heels for this Mexican inspired affair that Amy Nichols designed! It’s the perfect way to welcome your guest…a few margaritas, some great music and a casual but festive vibe. Love. Love. Love.

Timothy Teague shot these perfect photographs and completely captured the spirit and fun of the day. You know, sometimes, the rehearsal dinners are like mini-weddings in and of themselves. Although it’s important to not let the rehearsal dinner upstage the main event, it’s a really great time to infuse some creativity and whimsy into your wedding weekend. Guests will SO appreciate the effort and you’ll be able to kick back and have some fun before the big day!

Rehearsal Dinner by Aaron Delesie, II

June 2nd. 2009 by Abby Larson | 15 comments

The color palette is what really sold me on this rehearsal dinner that Aaron Delesie sent me. It’s the definition of perfection…a subtle teal blue, a washed out orange and a crisp white. Ahhh, it just doesn’t get any better! Throw in a few pretty blankets, some adirondack chairs and lovely lanterns and you have the best version of campside elegance.

The green, mossy centerpieces are the perfect element of texture against the blue linens…they add a more organic feel to the styling that I love. The whole rehearsal is simply stunning and I am willing to bet that it got even better as the day turned to dusk and all the candles lit the evening with the perfect glow!

Travel Themed Weddings

May 29th. 2009 by Abby Larson | 6 comments

I am not much for themes when it comes to weddings. I am not much for themes when it comes to anything. BUT, there is the rare exception to the rule in my book of all things great…travel. I’ve started to see weddings that focus on travel and long distance loves start to pop up and there is just something so romantic about the idea.

We have a gorgeous travel themed affair coming up in a bit, but before we get to it, I wanted to share some fun travel inspired details that I’ve found along the way…

Dessert Buffet by Amy Atlas

May 28th. 2009 by Abby Larson | 13 comments

There are few designers that can compete with the complete fabulousness that is Amy Atlas. Her dessert buffets are becoming the standard to which everyone looks to for inspiraiton…with details that will make any critic give up a few spirit sprinkles. In a word, she is amazing. So of course, when Amy sent me her latest masterpiece, I jumped up and down like a little girl in a candy store. Literally.

The incredible Pucci inspired dessert bar (I mean come on, how cool is that!) was complete with custom printed popcorn cones, cotton candy sticks, mini chocolate bars and a custom printed tablecloth. There were lots and lots of picture perfect desserts and candies like caramel marshmallows (ummm, yum) with tulip sticks and chocolate covered pretzel bites. Man alive, I would have killed for an invite to this little soiree!
