Holly Andres and Paul Rich sent us today’s featured wedding from Blue Hill at Stone Barns, NY and we just have to show you the fine images of the food first!
Here’s Janet and Ethan’s menu …
Little Black Book member, Gia Canali describes herself as a globe-trotting photographer and writer who, along with her husband and dog, calls Los Angeles her home. She is, in our opinion, one of the best … photographer and writer! Her blog is entitled, “Pursuing The Picture Perfect Wedding” and is a marvelous compilation of tips, tricks, advice and even a few warnings all geared to help couples face their all-important day (and the camera) with zeal and confidence.
We promised you the details from Suzanne and Justin’s wedding (hours ago) … but believe us when we say, this is SO worth the wait! We’re not even going to ooh or ahh … just yet … (but it’s really hard not to say, “OMG, isn’t this the cutest idea ever ?!”)
Most of the time when we see a new wedding up on Justin & Mary’s site, we want it! That’s mostly because their ability to tell the story of the day through their images is so incredible … but also because their weddings are just so SMP-style weddings. Pretty much 100% of the time! Take, for example, today’s wedding … how much better than this does it get?
Just in case you missed the first post {here}, Suzanne and Justin were married this month at the Branford House in Groton, CT.
Justin and Suzanne were married at the Branford House on a picture-perfect Connecticut spring day!
Two of our favorite LBB members, Justin and Mary Marantz were there to capture all the beauty of the day …
But before we get to all of the lovely pieces of this day … we want to show you the inspiration behind their whole “vision”.
We haven’t been up on our soapbox lately about how critical it is to find the best wedding film-maker you can possibly find to capture your wedding day memories! Please, please, please heed our advice. You will never regret it. {Particularly if you choose from one of our fabulous Little Black Book cinematographers!}
And if you’re fortunate enough to book Fiore Films, you will be forever blessed with a masterpiece! Because Sharrone is a master … a master at creating intensely romantic, edgy, cinematic-style wedding films. Her dramatic style pulls you to the edge of your chair, waiting to see what happens next! True, passionate storytelling at its best.
When Kristin Vining sent us this recent Charlotte wedding that her sister company Weddings And The City helped orchestrate, we were blown away by the details!
Elle and Todd were married this spring at The Green Uptown in Charlotte, NC. Their gray, pink, fuschia, purple {and every shade in-between} color palette was their inspiration and boy did they run with it! What a perfect palette for oodles and oodles of rose petals, crystals and orchids …
So, if you’ve been reading the blog this week, you know that I am at Engage ‘09, which is an incredible event that the wonderful Rebecca Grinnals put together for wedding pros that are innovating in their field. It has been a beyond words experince and I’ve made some seriously great friends in some of the most well known vendors in the world. And it’s in the Cayman Islands so….umm. Does it get any better?
Anyway, I was going to hand the blog over to some of my guest bloggers for the week so that I could get a little r & r but what can I say, I am addicted. The minute that these babies landed in my inbox, I threw my vacation out the window so that I could get them up. They are just that good.
On the Little Black Book Blog, we strive to bring you more of the stellar work of our LBB members … the event planners, the photographers, the cinematographers … the cake designers, the floral designers … We show you their work, not because we think they’re terrific, but because we know they’re terrific!
Carla Ten Eyck is just that … amazing …
