Wedding Invitations & Stationery

Wedding Invitations by Posh Paperie

I mentioned earlier that the bride from today’s featured wedding was launching a new custom invitation business, called Posh Paperie. Well, the stationery suite that she designed for her own weddings is absolutely beautiful and if it’s any indication of what is to come, she is sure to be a huge success!

Thank you so much to Karrie for sharing her wedding and her new business inspirations with us! Every detail of this wedding was adorable…from the great color palette and gorgeous stationery to the custom silhouette cookies. Loved every bit of it!

Wedding Invitations by Lilah Papers

Kalyn Denno recently emailed me about her invitation line, Lilah Papers and I swooned when I saw her work…

I love the combination of tradition and whimsy. And that lift ticket inspired save the date is just too cute. This next one, is all charm. The pink and chocolate combo, the pretty pattern on the envelope…it all comes together in a lovely, “tradition with a twist” style…

Kalyn has so many gorgeous designs up on her site, so definitely take a look when you have some time!

Wedding Invitations by Abby Jean, II

I am soooooo excited about this next invitation suite. The girls at Abby Jean partnered with one of my all time favorite Little Black Book members, calligrapher Laura Hooper, to create the most gorgeous tiffany blue and white invitation…

The suite is so unbelievably pretty to me. The combination of the calligraphy and the block font is the perfect pairing and this color palette is so charming. Laura has also designed a custom map to coordinate with the suite, which takes the whole look to another level!

Wedding Invitations by Abby Jean

Haile McCollum Parker, the new owner and head designer over at my old namesake, Abby Jean, just sent me some pictures of her newest designs. I am in love with what she is doing to the collection and feel like she brings such a beautiful perspective to the line…

Invitations by Abby Jean, Gown by Lela Rose on Brides.com, Cake Details by April Reed, Florals by Camilla Svennson Burns

This piece is all about Southern charm. That pretty monogram and grosgrain ribbon inspired detail, paired with the gorgeous color palette is sweet and yet completely sophisticated. I see this invitation being used in a traditional wedding for a more modern bride. A girl who wants to add a bit of “chic” to her beautifully traditional style. I love the deeper coral, paired with creams and a lighter terra cotta color. So warm and pretty. With that said, this design comes in lots of different color combinations!

I have another NEW Abby Jean design coming so stay tuned!

Wedding Invitations by Bella Figura

At SMP, we are huge fans of Bella Figura invitations…not only are they environmentally friendly, they are super chic, designed by some of the industry’s most creative artists. So, when they asked me to curate their collection, choosing my favorite pieces, I jumped at the chance!

Definitely check out my favorite Bella Figura invitations when you have a minute, along with the other wonderful bloggers’ picks like Oh Joy! and {frolic!}. You can actually order a sample pack online for $10 to help give you a sense of the quality and beauty of each piece, with 100% of that price going towards the Conservation Fund.

Wedding Invitations on Etsy

As I am sure most of you know, I am a HUGE fan of all things Etsy. It’s such an incredible environment for buyers to support local artists and find something that is truly unique. Yesterday, someone mentioned using Etsy’s Dear Emma shop for their wedding invitations, which of course, prompted me to spend WAY too much time pouring over the invitations featured….

I definitely found some pretty great little shops that are doing really beautiful, innovative things with wedding invitations. And, the best part is that they are completely affordable! This set by Cheer Up runs for $1.75 / piece for seating cards and save the dates, to about $3.00 per set for wedding invitations…

I also loved the work by Pink Lily Press

These designs run about $5 per complete set, which is great seeing that you get the invitation with outer envelope, inner envelope, a belly band of sorts and choice of response postcard or standard response card. Coordinating save the dates, reception cards or additional inserts are also insanely affordable, starting at about $.75 per piece.

So, after spending quite a bit of time on the Etsy site today, I am thinking that we should start an Etsy Picks section on Style Me Pretty. Let’s start with Etsy Wedding Invitation Picks…if you already have a favorite shop OR you don’t mind going through the invitation section to find your favorite designers, I’d love to hear from you! Just leave a comment with a link to your favorite Etsy invitation shop and I will get started on the Etsy Wedding Invitation gallery!

Real Wedding

I wanted to write a quick follow-up to yesterday’s Wedding Paper Divas feature. One of our readers, Anna, sent me a pic of the invitations that she ordered from the site that ultimately inspired the details for her entire wedding! Here are the finished invitations…

The green and black is SO smart, so sophisticated. Anna did an absolutely beautiful job carrying this palette through her entire wedding…

Anna used the words Rustic, Modern and Chic to define her wedding style and she articulated her vision to perfection.  Anna has set up a bio site that documents all of her inspirations and ideas, then shows how they came to fruition. She created inspiration boards for every part of her wedding…from her flowers to the fashions. In doing this, she was able to translate her style to each vendor and ended up with a wedding that was her own unique vision.

If you have an hour or so (because the bio site is that good) check out Anna’s Project Wedding Bio Page. It’s filled with stunning inspirations, gorgeous real wedding images, song lists and even a DIY project. It’s a pretty amazing tool for anyone who is planning their wedding!
