It isn’t very often that we stumble across such a fabulous wedding that we clear out an entire day for gushing but Ryan Ray isn’t your ordinary photographer. Oh on the contrary, he’s actually insanely talented and has sent a San Luis Obispo wedding our way that is going to dazzle your brains. But before we get to the goodies, we thought it would be super fun to delve a bit into the inspiration behind this whimsical affair. Most of you know it takes a village to pull off a fabulous fete and this beauty has a village by the name of Angel Swanson from Events of Love and Splendor. Together, she and the Bride put together one beauty of a Pinterest Board. We’re talking moss, bow ties and loads of color and the wedding that resulted is right in keeping with all the gorgeous. Here’s a little peek at what they put together…

Buying Guide: Santa Barbara Wedding by Michael and Anna Costa Photographers Ltd.

It’s been awhile since we’ve delved into a buying guide but fear not. We’re back and ready to party with today’s gorgeous display of Santa Barbara nuptials photographed by Michael and Anna Costa with the yummiest of florals by Modern Day Design. The wedding may have been beach side but glamour was definitely not forgotten. We are talking tuxes, a breathtaking gown and loads upon loads of romance. Yep, romance was the name of this game. So buckle up and get your buying hats on because we’ve got some fabulous pieces perfect for infusing into your own wedding day extravaganza.

1. Glamour starts with your groom in a classic, black tux and J.Crew has quite the affordable collection for this most special of occasions.

2. The flowers from today’s affair played center stage. To get the look, try pairing bunches of one type of flower per vase (think ranunculus, hydrangea, roses and other textured blooms) then group the vases together for a really striking albeit insanely beautiful look.

3. Sparkling candlelight will set the mood for a romantic evening indeed. We love these mercury glass votives from West Elm. They are a classic that never goes out of style and the sparkle factor? Through the freaking roof.

4. A gorgeous, ruffled wedding gown. Can you really imagine the Bride wearing anything else to this fête? Come one, come all and join us as we say YES, PLEASE to this ruffled beauty from J.Crew

5. Aside from the Bride and Groom, the only other necessity at a classic wedding like this is flutes of bubbly. No need for fancy signature drinks, just pop open a bottle of Champy and your guests will be happy, happy clams

6. We love a good monogram around these parts and can’t think of a better accessory for all your wedding paper goods. These letterpress monogram tags from Paper Source are just the thing for favor boxes. (Add their peacock colored ribbon to complete the look) Another favorite? 7. Your favorite ladies will look beyond stunning in this floor length number from Dessy

9. To keep all eyes on those pretty petals making up your centerpiece, go for a clear glass vase. These square vases from Ikea will do just the trick and at $2.49 a pop you can sprinkle them all over the place

The other local blog lovers in New York, Australia and Georgia have had their chance at inspiring us pretty with their board building skills, and now it’s your turn Illinois! We are borderline obsessed with our Inspiration Board Builder, and we look for just about any chance we can to play around with all the pretty images on SMP. It never hurts to day dream a bit right? For those of you in the States, we are on countdown mode. T minus one hour until the holiday weekend begins. I don’t know about you, but I can.not.wait for all the festivities. I just couldn’t wait any longer – it’s time for another Inspire Me Pretty, New York edition! I had SO much fun seeing all of your boards last time, I can’t wait to see what you have in store for me this time around. To get this pretty party started, I whipped up something different from my last board which had New York City glamour written all over it – this time I’m moving up to the Hudson Valley and going rustic chic. A black tie barn wedding of sorts. Are you with me? Mason jars are replaced with chandeliers and cowboy boots are replaced with Badgley Mischkas (like these). Fluffy florals are EVERYWHERE. Inspire Me Pretty + New York

Happy Wedding Wednesday New Yorkers! I am going to shake things up a bit here because I know there are so many of you out there, and I sorta kinda want to have a chance to meet you all in some way, shape or form. So I thought it might be a good idea to start inspiring each other. So here’s what I’m thinking – I’ll show you an inspiration board of a wedding that is floating around in my head. A wedding that screams “I’m 100% ALL New York”. Then you can create one using our board builder to show me what about New York inspires you. Let’s keep them New York focused, but dream big! Anything goes here folks, no budgets involved! Just show me your absolute dream New York wedding. Label and TAG your board Inspire Me Pretty NY, and on Friday I’ll pick my favorite to post on the Wrap It Up Pretty New York post. Ready? This week, I whipped up a sophisticated city-style affair.
