Happy Wedding Wednesday Florida! We’ve been sharing all kinds of brillant and beautiful weddings from all over Florida but now we want to get a little inspiration from all of you! To get the ball rolling, I’ll share an inspiration board that I’ve been dreaming about recently. A board fit for Florida’s vivacious, vibrant attitude and appetite for the big and the bold. In return, I would love for you to use our board builder to create a board that shows off everything you love most about Florida. There are no rules, no budgets, no expectations. This week my dream wedding would be oh-so-much fun for a summer fête in the sunshine state full of bright, sherbet colors and packed with modern details. The luscious pink, orange and yellow blossoms would just look delicious against the sandy seashore, don’t you think?

From Inspiration to Invitation Challenge by Sarah Drake

We’re constantly amazed by all you style-savvy wedding gurus out there, so today we’re recruiting you for a little design inspiration (and the chance at some major bragging rights). The very talented Sarah Drake is back with another From Inspiration to Invitation challenge and we’re looking to you for guidance! She is going to create a brand new invitation based totally on one of your gorgeous inspiration boards.

Fun, right!?!? The rules are simple, just head on over to the Style Circle and create an inspiration board based on any style/look/theme you’d like to see translated into an invitation design. (Please note, this is a design challenge not a giveaway.) You must tag your board SD Challenge to be considered. Sarah will pick one of your boards to turn into a fabulous new invitation and we cannot wait to see what you come up with. We’ll announce the big winner on Friday, October 29th and share the sure-to-be-amazing invitation right here on SMP later this fall.

From Inspiration to Reality: The Board

Get ready to dance a little happy dance. We have been completely inundated with the most AMAZING From Inspiration to Reality shoots over the last few weeks which means you lucky readers get to share in the riches. With so many shoots and so little time, we have decided to bring you TWO features this week so get your inspiration motors a runnin because these fab LBB vendors are bringing it. First up is the inspiration board behind our first shoot created by Style Circle extraordinaire Chiara Francolino. It is entitled Vintage Love Letters and it is complete and total romance!

Who doesn’t love a great romance? Just wait until you see the design. With photography by Gertrude and Mabel and styling by MB Designs and Events as well as a host of other talented vendors, the result is dreamy, dreamy.

From Inspiration to Reality: The Board

It is about that time for one of our FAVORITE features and we are beyond excited to debut this beauty. As you know, inspiration comes in ALL sorts of pretty shapes and sizes. From a gorgeous piece of fabric to a hot pair of shoes, it runs the gamut. And the muse behind our latest From Inspiration to Reality shoot is no exception. It is in fact one of the most beloved flavors of ice cream out there…mint chocolate chip. Love it! Dished out by JMM Photography, Amo Ink, Yellow Canary and a bevy of other brilliant vendors, this shoot is chalk full of eye candy and better yet, yummy inspiration for your own wedding. Before we get into the pretty, pretty details, take a look at the Colette’s minty board that started it all. Pure deliciousness.

The perfect combination of cool mint hues mixed with those crisp blacks gives this look a timeless vintage feel while still maintaining a modern perspective. So (in case you can’t tell) we’re pretty excited that spring is finally here. Sunshine, flowers, birds chirping, warm air, open toed shoes… everything about it has us feeling, well, a little twitterpated. But when our latest team of vendors sent us the photos from their From Inspiration to Reality shoot we needed to pinch ourselves to make sure it wasn’t really February and we were actually just dreaming. Much to our delight, spring is here and we can’t wait to show you just how perfect it can be. But before we jump into the shoot, we want to celebrate the board that inspired today’s gorgeous feature. Designed by Mariana, this flowery, feminine board is just the kind of rustic beauty that makes us melt…

From Inspiration to Reality – Challenge 2!

We had such a blast with our From Inspiration to Reality Challenge that we’ve decided to make it a regular feature on SMP! We have vendors lined up from now until February who are super excited to turn your inspiration boards into a real life photo shoot, complete with tons of inspirations and ideas that can be translated into a perfect wedding. Leading up our next team is Agnes Lopez, a brilliant photographer out of the Southeast. Together with Liza Chung (event designer and florist) and Eric Torres (cinematography), the team is going to choose their favorite Style Circle inspiration board to bring to life!

I’m still completely in awe of Jessica Claire’s wedding Abby featured last week so I couldn’t resist sharing this inspiration board created by Colette on the Style Circle. I think the best part about this board is how she used Jessica’s colors for her inspiration. I love that she didn’t try to recreate the entire look of the event but that he used certain aspects of the wedding to make this gorgeous board with beautiful J.Crew bridesmaids dresses as the centerpiece.
