A few days ago I mentioned that we love chandeliers and shoes … but I think I need to throw carousels into that mix!
This morning’s feature on the Little Black Book Blog was all about this happy couple ~ Beth & Chris who were married in April at Lake Lure Inn. We just wanted to give you a peek at their engagement photo session with their amazing photographer, Kristin Vining.
When you’ve got it … YOU’VE GOT IT!
Beth ~ this gorgeous bride … Chris ~ a McDreamy kind of groom … four fabulous maids … a to-die-for-dress … and Kristin Vining ~ their sensational photographer! Doesn’t get any better than this.
Last week, we announced an invitation contest and giveaway from Sarah at Fuzzynk Design Studio … {contest here} . Abby will be announcing the winner later today. However, Sarah, the oh-so-talented {Little Black Book} designer would still LOVE for you to see her unbelievably perfect invitation creations over on her own website and blog. Her work is seriously great.

Before we get into the last of the details from today’s featured affair, I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to Robert and Kathleen for sending this to us and of course, to Dagney and Michael for letting us share in the celebration. Together with Candice Dowling of Jubilee Events, the crew is giving us a window into such a special wedding, such a romantic story…
From Robert and Kathleen…All of it looked right at home in their location, an airport hanger at Oxford Airport. The room looked perfect – almost feeling like a WWII USO function – complete with many gentleman in uniform (many of the guests were fellow servicemen), which was even more appropriate being that Saturday was Armed Forces Day.
This afternoon we are all about travel inspired weddings. And when we saw this one, photographed by the incredible Robert and Kathleen Trenske, our heart did a little pitter patter. It’s just so unbelievably romantic. Seriously makes me want to swoop my husband away for an incredible vacation, a trip to Paris, a weekend of kisses, old movies and really great champagne.
From Robert and Kathleen…Dagney and Michael wanted a wedding that really reflected their personality and lifestyle. They both LOVE flying - a lot. Since she was raised in a military family (her father was a Commander in the Navy), and Michael is a Major in the Army, they decided to have a 1940s-style, aviation themed wedding.
Now on to the AMAZING (and by amazing, I mean…holy cow, I can’t believe this is a real wedding amazing) wedding of Dagney and Michael that took place this past May at the Oxford Airport. The incredible team at Robert and Kathleen Photographers, along with the fabulous planner Candice Dowling of Jubilee Events helped to bring this beautiful wedding to fruition and I have to say, I am swooning.
If you read Style Me Pretty, you are well aware of my complete and utter obsession with balloons. It’s kind of ridiculous really, as I will honestly jump for joy anytime I see a photograph where balloons take center stage. So obviously, when I spotted this wedding that Chenin Boutwell, one of our FAVORITE photographers, captured, I squealed with little girl glee.
There is just something so sweet about this affair. The pure joy that seems to be radiating from the photographs, the romantic style, the classic but fabulously chic details. It’s really, really easy to love. Oh and that last picture is definitely going into my all time favorites file, as it is total perfection. A stunning couple, a dress that will make you cry, balloons, confetti…um, hello.
Obsessed. That is the only word that can properly describe just how much I love this wedding. Spotted over on Chenin Boutwell’s blog, when I saw it, I nearly fell off my chair. It’s just that beautiful…with a touch of glam, a touch of vintage, a touch of all things fabulous. I am madly, madly in love.
The perfect balloons, the flowers that are as lovely as they are chic, and the dress…oh a dress. Have you ever seen anything quite so pretty? With ruffles that are complete perfection, I seriously could wear this dress every day of my life.
For all of you who know your way around the wedding web-world, you will immediately recognize the exquisite photographic style behind Jesse & Whit’s images … We were thrilled when they gave us the OK to share Jacqui and Lachlan’s wedding photos with you. Sooooo incredible.
