Good Morning lovelies. You aren't confused...it is indeed Saturday and we are blogging. You see, we have so many amazing weddings in our inbox and so little time to showcase them all, we figured why not bring you even more wedding inspiration this weekend. So today and tomorrow you will still be able to get your Style Me Pretty fix. The even better part? You get to pore through all of the posts in your pj's from your oh so comfy sofa if you want. Now that is a winning combo. Up first is a... [MORE]
This next wedding, brought to us by Matthew Morgan Photography, was a true labor of love for not only the bride and groom but for all their friends and family as well. It is a perfect example of a community coming together to celebrate a marriage. And, it is pretty hard to believe that they accomplished all of this in only four months! There are so many little details (think, a Polaroid wall and rustic furniture vignettes)... [MORE]
I'll admit that we go crazy for gorgeous, meticulously planned and executed weddings BUT (yes, there is a BUT) we also go nutzo for intimate, super, duper sweet affairs. You know, the ones that pull at your heart strings and have you balling like a little baby because they are just.that.sweet. This is a secret wedding sent to us by Simply Jessie Photography and it falls right into that category. This couple absolutely could not wait... [MORE]
We love a short wedding dress, and this one does not disappoint. The bride found this sweet little BCBG dress on eBay for just $110...SCORE! Even though the bride says that the "one word to sum up the plan for our wedding would be budget", they certainly did not scrimp on style. They infused their personalities throughout (check out the adorable mad libs below) and handmade all the papergoods themselves. We are swooning over their creative style and are certain you will soon be too. [MORE]
I feel like there are so many brides out there that are totally and completely overwhelmed when it comes to planning their wedding. Even though I was IN the wedding industry when I planned my own, I was definitely one of those girls. I wish someone had given me permission to embrace my jeans and a t-shirt personality when it came to the design...to craft a wedding that was laid back and yet beautiful, casual and yet really special. Well, that is EXACTLY what this gorgeous bride did and the... [MORE]
This wedding sent to us by Stella and Leon of Stella Alesi Photography is so sweet, so very sweet. It is a backyard charmer straight out of Austin, Texas and this adorable couple just might be the coolest cats ever featured on SMP. We are seriously crushing on their perfect vintage style and the handmade affair that they created with the help of talented friends and family. Plus, Vivienne Westwood shoes happen to be an amazing combo... [MORE]
We're really excited about the next couple of weddings. For one, they're GORGEOUS. But more exciting, they have been documented by a few new faces to SMP! We've asked a couple of our favorite bloggers to guest blog for us and I couldn't be more thrilled about the additions. So, without further ado, meet Emilia Jane...the absolutely, positively adorable voice behind the blog Sweet Emilia Jane! * * * This... [MORE]
If you ever wanted to see a true, no-holds-bar DIY wedding...and one that turned out so incredibly lovely...this is your lucky, lucky day. I was so moved by the story behind this wedding, by the fact that the bride looked to old photos of family weddings held in this very backyard to inspire her design, by the idea that the bride saw the value in bringing together friends and family to build a truly special wedding...I just knew I had to share. Photographed by... [MORE]
This next wedding is all about the fun. Carefree, whimsical, dance-your-tail-off kind of fun. Photographed by the FAB husband and wife duo, Leon and Stella Alesi, I couldn't help but fall head over heels for Austin, Texas this fete. Favorite part? The colorful paper poms that completely transform the space. But remember, this is only a tidbit of the actual wedding goodness. There is so much more fun to be had in the gallery... [MORE]
This is such a cute love story, seriously killing me with the adorableness. This bride and groom met on...are you ready for this...eHarmony. Love it. And their sweet as pie courtship ended with a fabulous DIY wedding in the Midwest. Photographed by Katie Day, with styling by Sharon Taylor Designs, this is a study in all things bright and lovely. DIY brides, be sure to take... [MORE]
I am literally bursting at the seams to share this delightful wedding with you. For one, it is a gorgeous display of summer garden goodness captured by uber talented (and soon walking down the aisle themselves) Davina + Daniel. Second, these two lovebirds happen to be great friends of mine and I was able to watch the magic unfold live. It was one of the most beautiful, heartfelt weddings I have ever had the honor of attending. [MORE]
I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! Tait and I were actually at the Cape all of last week so before I begin, I wanted to send a HUGE thank you to Erin, Elaine and our Guest Bloggers for keeping the blog afloat (and totally gorgeous) while we were gone! You girls are the best. Okay, so we have the loveliest of lovely weddings for you this Monday morning. The bride and her friends and family crafted all of the gorgeous details on a $13,000 budget and made it look like a $50,000 budget... [MORE]
If my happy place were a shoe (and not gonna lie, sometimes it is) then these shoes would surely be it. And so too would the fabulous emerald beauties that the lovely bride is sporting on her earlobes. But that's not what this post is about. Instead we are focusing on the gorgeous wedding that this adorable couple (who happened to be dressed ever so chic) held on a shoestring budget while still managing to have a knock-it out of the park affair. And if you want to see the FULL day from pretty... [MORE]
I'm pretty sure you girls are going to go bonkers when you see this next wedding. It's beyond hard to believe that this wedding was actually a budget affair...filled with DIY touches and cost saving decisions, NONE of which look at all like they were budget finds. Seriously this wedding is the preppy cat's meow and the crafty bride, who managed to make all of her centerpieces the night before the wedding, should definitely consider going into business for herself. Photographed by the forever... [MORE]
It's been a really great few days on SMP. I hope that through Libby and Patrick's wedding you were able to see how a wedding is really built...from soup to nuts. Or as I should say, from inspiration to reality. I really feel like this little project has given me more motivation and excitement than I have ever had to infuse SMP with hands-on, really exciting features. Ideas and inspirations that will resonate with even more brides out there. Before we wrap things up, I thought I'd share a few... [MORE]
