From Leslie PasserinoFor Alex, proposing to Cindy had to be a special, unique and whimsical moment. Cindy is his princess, his world, his everything. When Alex and I met to discuss the proposal, our goal was to make sure that Cindy would not find anything amiss or suspicious, and to put her in a familiar setting: a photoshoot.

We chose one of their favorite eras, the 1960’s, which was perfect for the engagement of a jazzman to a freelance columnist, blogger and model. The proposal was held at the House of Jazz in Montreal, Quebec. We carefully planned each and every detail of the photoshoot and proposal: stationery, atmosphere, table setting, menswear, dress, flowers, etc.

When Cindy arrived with Alex the morning of the proposal, the set looked like a regular photoshoot, with a makeup artist, a hairstylist, close-up photographers, cinematographers, and a creative director. The photoshoot was perfect. Their family arrived and hid discreetly behind a curtain. At the end of the photoshoot, Alex sat in front of his beloved and started to talk. Cindy suddenly realized that something different was happening. Alex was proposing… and she said yes!

It was a very emotional moment for everyone; all the team had tears in their eyes. After Cindy had said “yes”, their family came out from behind the curtains and the bride to be was taken by emotions… It was an incredible moment.

Montreal Plaza Volare Wedding from George Mavitzis

George Mavitzis took the words right out of my mouth: this wedding is enchantingly beautiful. Enchantingly beautiful with a whopping side of glamour, all set against the breathtaking setting of Plaza Volare.  In other words, it’s a serious dream come true with some of Montreal’s finest vendors and a bride and groom who could not be more stunning joining forces to create a day that is absolutely mesmerizing. I’m talking a take-your-breath-away custom gown, beautiful blooms from Fleurs des Jardins and a reception styled to perfection by Concepts Antoinette.  See it all right here.

From George Mavitzis… If you’re anything like us, you’re inspired by beauty and all things glamorous. This Montréal wedding was without a doubt one to inspire and remember.

We know how vital a wedding dress can be in setting the tone for the day. And this was very critical to the bride seeing that she studied fashion while living in Italy for a year and has been working in the fashion industry ever since. Lets just say that the bar was set high for her wedding gown and both dresses did not disappoint!

From the bride’s custom gown (and a half) to the breathtaking reception room clad by 30 fairy-lit trees to emanate a courtyard in Italy. The only word to describe this wedding is: enchantingly beautiful (okay, that’s two words).

The bride and groom had known each other for over 15 years before they started dating. And the love and respect they share was unmistakable as they took center stage amongst their 270 guests.

The number of talented people who were involved in this wedding was truly impressive. I will begin with the  video crew, the one and only Marrone Video who once again assisted me in creating an enjoyable atmosphere for the couple and their family.

After the ceremony, we headed to Chateau Ramezay, whose management gracefully allowed us the use of their one of a kind venue in which to photograph. We not only had complete use of the interior space but their stunning gardens were made available to us as well and the result was outstanding.

While the couple and I took more photographs at the gardens and the surrounding Old Montreal streets, the guests enjoyed delicious cocktails at Plaza Volare.  The cocktail setup in their tent always sets the tone for the delicious dinner to follow. The dining room was beautifully assembled by Concepts Antoinette who always provides the most elegant designs.

I was honored to capture the beauty and love at Sabrina and Saro’s wedding, which I believe comes to life in every picture.

From Micheal B PhotoThe best moment was the first moment the bride and groom saw each other in the church.  Also, Grandma cutting some serious tile on the dance floor till the very end of the night.

From the Bride… We got endless compliments on the lovely ceremony service, reception decor and the outstanding food. The music was also excellent and guests were dancing the night away. We can’t pick just one favorite detail!! It was all amazing.
