Edmonton Wedding at Freemasons’ Hall by Jennifer Bergman Weddings

I am mildly, OK completely and utterly, obsessed with this winter Edmonton wedding by Jennifer Bergman Weddings!  The centerpieces alone, with wildflowers, antlers and gold painted animals, would be enough to drive me wild but add in the adorably chic couple and these images by Diamond Cake Photography and I’m a full on super fan!  We may be sneaking up on summer but this will have you dreaming of vintage, winter wonderlands!  See it all in the full gallery!

From Jennifer of Jennifer Bergman WeddingsWhat do you get when two environmental scientists with a penchant for charming vintage elements tie the knot? A gorgeous wedding with thoughtful, unique details. Tara and Brett’s love for nature and animals was evident throughout all aspects of their soirée. After attending an intimate ceremony at Edmonton’s historic McKay Avenue School, guests made their way to the reception hall. At the entrance, they were wowed by a guest book table that mirrored a forest floor with an abundance of moss, driftwood, lichen and wooden flowers pressed beneath an acrylic tabletop. The centrepieces were an eclectic mix of old books, antlers and crystal vases collected from friends and antique shops. Tables were named after an animal species and featured a bronzed version of the corresponding creature. In lieu of clinking glasses, guests had to mimic an animal sound to make the newlyweds kiss! The highlight of the reception was the AMAZING photo backdrop! This jaw-dropping set featured trees, taxidermy, fake snow and a green vintage couch. The couple’s family and friends pitched in to make this masterpiece come to life. Tara and Brett honeymooned in Tanzania, Africa — a fitting destination for these nature-lovers.

Calgary Wedding by Sarah Vaughan Photography

April 2nd. 2012 by Erin | 4 comments

One combination that just might be our our new favorite is the coming together of whimsy and elegance. It’s succulents and ballrooms like you’ve never seen. Blue Hydrangea whipped up a myriad of succulent infused centerpieces, moss lined aisle ways and bouquets that would make even the most modern of Brides fall head over heels. And married with gold details and the stately ballroom of The Fairmont Palliser Hotel, it makes for quite the beautiful fête as seen through the lens of Sarah Vaughan Photography. Be sure to stop by the gallery for so much more where these pretty images came from.

From Sarah of Sarah Vaughan PhotographyKim and Shawn’s wedding took place in a beautiful old hotel in downtown Calgary. The ceremony was in the Canadian Pacific Railway Pavilion, which is attached to the hotel. The colours were blue and gold to coordinate with the beautiful, yet quirky ballroom where they had their reception. Kim’s dress was Romona Keveza, and she had a stunning Ann Taylor gold statement necklace. It was luxe affair with some adorable, quirky accents that suited the couple perfectly.
