Cozy cable knits led the inspiration charge of this shoot captured by Christie Graham Photography, and we just want to snuggle up with every image. With seriously stunning styling from Best Day Ever Creative Events, gorgeous gowns from Blush Bridal and picture perfect florals from Celsia Florist – this gallery is one you’ll want to cozy up with for sure.
From Best Day Ever Creative Events…Inspired by the simple idea of staying cozy on a cold winter day, this wedding shoot was brought to life through the textures of a cable knit sweater which, along with other knitting and sewing accessories, was infused through all aspects of the wedding décor as well as the styling of both the bride and the groom.
A private residence in beautiful Pemberton, British Columbia was selected for it’s calm rustic setting, nearby stable of horses and one-of-a-kind snow-capped mountain views.
Muted tones of cream, grey, blush, navy and aquamarine were chosen as the shoot colour palette which is echoed in the beautiful centerpiece, bouquet and boutonniere florals designed with a loose organic feel and uncharacteristic colour palette for a winter wedding.
A charming vintage table with mismatched chairs was selected to inspire a farmhouse look and feel and the table was intentionally left exposed to showcase its authentic beauty. Other subtle farmhouse oriented details include cow printed milk glasses and fox printed textiles used to wrap the wedding favours. The table décor elements are simple yet beautifully incorporate some unique cable knit and sewing inspired details seen in the cable knit printed china plates and bowls, cable knit sweater candle cozies, spools and stitching detail on the napkins. The flatware is styled in an effortless way and tied with beautiful hand-dyed silk ribbon.
Other notable décor details include an unconventional wedding altar set-up made up of vintage barrels, an industrial spool and birch branches as well as a spool turned table styled with loose florals, spools, twine, buttons and other sewing supplies. A vintage Singer sewing table was used to showcase the unique cable knit sweater inspired, 5-tier cake. A simple stationery suite features a beautiful bombshell pro calligraphy font and hand torn edges.
Our bride Nicole looks effortlessly beautiful with her loose braided up-do and natural fresh-faced makeup finished with a rosy lip and cheek highlight. She is wearing the Reem Acra, ‘I am Beautiful’ wedding gown paired, in select shots with a cream cable knit sweater. A stunning blue sapphire handcrafted Anne Sportun ring was selected as a striking alternative to a traditional diamond engagement ring. Our groom Cody looks very dapper in his winter grey suit, finished with a navy Armani bow tie and wool knit navy scarf.
