I’m absolutely wild about everything chevron.  It’s a trend that I hope stays put because it makes me giddy whenever I see it.  I especially love to see it used in unexpected ways so when this inspiration shoot by  The Little White Dress came my way I was thrilled!  The mix of glamorous, vintage decor with the pops of orange and chevron pattern (plus that ridiculous adorable french bull dog) is so much fun!  Click here to see it all!

From Kate of The Little White DressThe concept for this shoot stemmed from my new obsession with the colour orange, chevron patterns and old world romance. Once everyone had agreed about the orange colour palette, I knew I wanted to incorporate chevrons in some capacity, but wasn’t sure where to pull them in. I had originally painted a linen to use on the table, but when it came time to shoot, it wasn’t looking right, so we nixed it and moved on! Thankfully the cakes (human-sized and puppy-sized) saved the day and became our chevron component!

The goal was to mix old world romance – a sort of Marie Antoinette style – with more modern elements. The bright orange colour and chevron pattern was the perfect starting point for a fabulous shoot. We wanted to make sure we utilized the best parts of the space because Attic Books is seriously SO cool. And we fell in love with the extremely old antique book section, which ended up being our backdrop!

Lola – our canine model – was absolutely amazing (literally the best puppy dog model in the world!) We wanted to inspire brides with a fun and cool way to do a sort of “trash the dress/treasure the dress” photo shoot, and I think that’s exactly what we achieved. What bride wouldn’t love to do a little post-wedding styled photo shoot with her fur baby?!
