I am a super huge fan of anniversary shoots. Just because your wedding day is behind you doesn’t mean your days of getting dolled up and snuggling with your honey are! This shoot, styled by the ridiculously adorable wife and event planner extraordinaire, is the sweetest example of how romantic and chic a one-year anniversary session can be. I am head of heels in love with her sassy sequin dress and the adorable cake for two. Elizabeth in Love captures all the love and devotion that the blissful couple so obviously has for one another and the result is simply breathtaking. You just have to see all the delightful details in the full gallery!

We have another treat for you! After not loving their actual wedding video, these two lovebirds got together with Future Focus Media to create this ultra-cool, ultra-special film that they’ll treasure forever…
From the Bride…One of the things I love most about my job as a wedding planner is I get a greater appreciation for my relationship and marriage with my husband. Maybe it’s because I’m constantly surrounded by love and emotion, but in the 15 months we’ve been married we’ve grown immensely and learned more about ourselves both collectively and individually then we could have ever imagined. This past summer prior to our first wedding anniversary my great friend Beth and gifted photographer behind Elizabeth in Love, suggested that Andrew and I get in front of her lens for some photos. As luck would have it our exact wedding anniversary landed on a Saturday, that Beth had purposely booked off for a break from her hectic shooting schedule. And even better, that Saturday fell on a weekend I was scheduled to be back in Canada for an event. Not only did the stylist in me get thrilled at the idea of tying in some pretty details to a session, but I could hardly wait to feel all over again, those same feelings I felt the day I became Andrew’s wife.
For the session, Olivia of I Do Wedding Cakes made us an exact replica of the top tier of our wedding cake (since we ate our original top tier the day after our wedding, oops!) The melt in your mouth lemon and vanilla creation was as tasty as we remember it being on our wedding day. And we didn’t have to worry about it being stale! Neallie of Vatne Designs, created the beautiful custom clustered pearl bracelet for me in my favorite hues of pink, gray and ivory and Lori of Sticks and Stems created a gorgeous small bouquet with dahlias, spray roses, lisianthus and dusty miller. I opted for an all ivory bouquet on our wedding day so carrying around a bouquet full of color on our anniversary was fun. Beth’s twin sister Sarah, is an incredibly talented make up artist, and did a stunning job on my hair and makeup.
The best part of our anniversary however was when my husband gifted me with that small box donning a pretty teal bow. See, six years ago prior to our one year wedding anniversary, my husband and I first met as two college students who happened to be neighbors. Him an American and I a Canadian, unknowingly falling not only in love but also headfirst into a frustrating amount of immigration hurdles and obstacles. Funny how 6 years later, almost to the day I would at last be holding in my hands my Greencard and what to us, would finally mean happily ever after.

Thank you for the wonderful feature SMP :) I just love reliving that special day through all of these photos! xoxo
Rhi is one lovely lady! What a super sweet anniversary.
This is so beautiful! Maybe I'm biased as I'm already married, but I feel that an anniversary shoot is love in its purest form. Unlike an engagement shoot, there's no wedding to plan or colors to choose... the only excitement ahead is a life together as a couple in love. And these two are so in love! Thanks for sharing!
SUCH a beautiful shoot! Love the sparkle!
Rhi! How cute are you two!? I love the little cake and topper! Many blessings to you and your hubby!

Love, love, love this. Everything about it is perfect. Rhi, you are stunning as always and I loved your sweet, honest, and genuine perspective. I've totally been sold on having a one year anniversary shoot--and hopefully doing a video as well since we didn't really get one of our wedding. Thanks for the inspiration! xo
