From Tara Whittaker Photography…My name is Tara Whittaker and I’m a photographer in Calgary, Canada. You may be familiar with the world famous Calgary Exhibition and Stampede? This year the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge even made an appearance there on their recent tour. The Stampede is known for rodeo and cowboy hats but one of my couples, Kristin & Jon, chose to put their own 1950′s stamp on it. They chose the carnival midway as location for their recent Love Shoot. Kristin & Jon are talented vocalists and performers in Calgary and this was a great way to showcase their love for each other and their vibrant personalities. It’s not everyday that you see a couple in 1950′s attire on the midway, doing the jive, so they attracted quite an audience. They didn’t seem to mind a bit. Calgarians will recognize some familiar sites like the Skyride over the Stampede grounds and the infamous mini-donuts.
