Today’s lineup has seen its share of sparkle, short little numbers and a floral dress or two but now we are going to head down the vintage route and spend a little time with a bride and groom that are the poster children for Classic Gorgeous. Enjoy this dreamy Toronto number photographed by White Photographie and meet us in the gallery for a whole lot more. See you back here tomorrow!

From the Bride and Groom… We are a fun-loving couple and we wanted our wedding to be a celebration and be one that is uniquely ours.  We paid special attention to all the details to make sure that the day reflected us as a couple and as individuals.

Since we were going to have all our friends and family there and we’d be kicking off the sunny Spring weather, we decided to have old-fashioned bottles of pop and Rock-Candy as wedding favours. We got grape soda bottles (since our main colour was purple) and made custom labels.  We held the reception at The Old Mill, a 95-year-old heritage building that the groom’s parents were married at 40 years ago.  We both love the rich history of England and hope to visit there someday, so this was the closest we could get while still having all of the people we love in attendance.

Some family traditions were honoured with Laurens wearing of her grandmother’s jewellery and using the cake-topper that is a family heirloom.  It has been used in over 50 family weddings since the 1920′s.  The cake itself was delicious red-velvet and vanilla with a ribbon of purple and our initials on it.  The groomsmen wore glen-check grey suits and the bridesmaids wore eggplant-coloured dresses that mimicked the Brides’.

Our decor was a mix of the two of us.  Simple and elegant with flowing white drapery for the bride, colourful and playful retro designs for the groom.  Since the groom is a graphic artist, the invitations, pop labels and menus were all done “in house.”  The flowers were beautifully arranged by a florist who is a good friend of ours and were compromised of peonies, carnations and lilies.

The day went absolutely perfectly with the help of many friends and family.  We wanted it to be a celebration of our love for each other and that’s exactly what it turned out to be.  It was a day filled with so many smiles, laughs and crying of the happy kind.  We’re so blessed to have each other and to have had shared the day with the ones we love!

WOW.... The bride and groom look stunning. The old-fashion bottles of pop and rock candy as wedding favours were a perfect touch. The wedding invitations with the bottle of pop on the front went perfectly with the theme. VERY CREATIVE

The brides sash is gorgeous! Do you know if it was designed by the dress designer? Or did she purchase the sash separately?

I'm fairly certain I know about the dress and sash. I just might be wearing the exact same combo: Mori Lee Blu 4524 and a La Sposa by Pronovias belt. I could be wrong though...
