If I had to describe this Californian soiree from IQphoto in just a few words, it’d be a sweet, happy celebration. This adorable duo didn’t overload on the details, but they mixed up their energetic personalities with the loveliness of Silver Creek Valley Country Club and the result is a day filled with pure love. See so much more in the full gallery!
From IQphoto… Elaine and Jeff met through a couple of their mutual friends what seems like eons ago. They became joined at the hip ever since the first date. It was the beginning of their lifetime journey together. They laugh, cry, go on adventures, party hard, yell and pout, throw tantrums, and cuddle with dogs together.
Unbeknownst to either of them at the time, Jeff bought the engagement ring of her dreams only a couple of days before Elaine bought the watch of his dreams, which she presented to him on their wedding day. Great minds think alike! Elaine planned a mini weekend trip to Carmel to celebrate their 3 year anniversary. Jeff sneakily planned around her plans and proposed on Carmel Beach next to the crashing waves under the cloudy starry night sky.
Elaine and Jeff’s wedding was a perfect one because it was a special evening filled with tears of joy, laughter, awesome food and sweets, and drunken madness with the most beautiful of guests.

I think anniversary sessions should be mandatory for every married couple. It’s a beautiful way to document love through the years, and today we’ve got one session so cute, you’ll be convinced to plan your own. From Majesta Patterson… When Chandra contacted me 9 months before her anniversary to take pictures of her and her new husband, I knew documenting her and Brandon’s love was important, but I didn’t know how beautiful her plan was until we met up at Montgomery Hill! Adorned with macaroons, some wild looking orchids amongst other props from their wedding, they celebrated by cutting into cake, lighting a sparkler and snuggling on a lace blanket under an oak tree.
Traditional gifts for your first anniversary are paper-related and a more modern take insists on clocks or “time” related gifts. So, Chandra included elements of paper, their napkins from their wedding as well as a paper chevron table runner, and a clock to represent the modern and tradition of their first year of marriage.
She even had a bouquet made and brought milk in jars with paper straws to drink with their cake. It was all so thoughtful and very sweet, I just had to share!
