From Blueberry PhotographyThis two day wedding is one for the books! Sarah and Stanley are both doctors from Canada so this was a destination wedding for them. They were married at San Francisco City Hall, one of the most gorgeous buildings in San Francisco. Sarah’s Naeem Khan dress is one of the most beautiful and intricate that we’ve seen. The following afternoon, the two held their reception at a winery in Napa. The winery is full of sculptures and other unique works of art.

Glamorous Blush Ballroom Wedding in San Francisco

Whenever someone asks me the kind of weddings that truly melt my heart. I sort of picture this one. Tradition with a chic, modern twist. A ballroom that screams luxury, a gown that could make even the most discerning hearts melt and sweet, whimsical details that simply bring a smile. Planned by the fabulous Charmed Events Group with images by Jasmine Lee Photography, I’m literally begging you to spend some time in the gorgeous gallery!

From Charmed Events GroupSusanna and Johnny’s wedding at the St. Regis in San Francisco was designed with the inspiration of the magic and wonder of constellations. We chose a pale palette of whites, silvers and pinks for the wedding design and complimented the color palette with flowers…and more flowers!

Susanna donned a Vera Wang gown for her big day and walked down the aisle in Charlotte Olympia stilettos in a room that was draped in white and accented in pink. Guests were greeted with a mirror etched welcome sign as they entered the room and enjoyed celebratory music from the couple’s church.

For cocktail hour, guests were awed by the constellation inspired escort wall that was custom designed for the couple. Guests were placed in tables named after constellations and their names and the shape of the constellation were mounted to the wall to create a gallery piece.

The reception space was beautiful to boot as it was fully draped in white linens and accented with pink lighting for a romantic and ethereal feel. The luxurious and textured linens served as the perfect foundation to the diamonte chargers at each place setting with the lush floral arrangements in cremes and pinks. The clear ghost chairs were a perfect accent for this modern and galaxy inspired design.

Guests enjoyed a four course dinner followed by a beautiful cake that was created by the St. Regis that was also constellations and galaxy inspired. It was an ethereal and luxurious night in ambience and aesthetics and no expense was spared in ensuring that the guests had a great time in celebrating Susanna and Johnny!

Rainy Day San Francisco Engagement

I’m a lover of rainy days, so when I meet a duo that isn’t afraid to throw on their rain boots and frolic around in the drizzly weather, I’m a big fan.  Such is the case with this adorable twosome, a couple of soon-to-be married sweeties that embraced the downpour with smiles on their faces… and have some drop-dead gorgeous moments captured by Jasmine Lee Photography to prove it.  See them here.

From The Groom…Vicki and I are getting married at Devine Ranch, a beautiful 80 acre horse ranch, nestled off the coast of Monterey Bay. Sticking to the rustic theme, we chose Sunol Regional Park for our engagement shoot as it offered open fields sprawling over hillsides, large oak trees, and fun natural features, but as the day approached, a large storm coming from Hawaii, with heavy rain, was being reported in the forecast. This obviously put a kink in our plans, but after contemplating rescheduling and alternative options, we decided to move forward with the engagement shoot anyways, and in doing so, we were thrilled with the results!

It wasn’t Sunol Regional Park, but the Ice Cream Bar located in the heart of San Francisco’s Cole Valley district offered some comfort from the rain to start. The 1950′s decor was a fun touch as Vicki and I shared a banana split on the old bar stools and took in the details of this neighborhood staple. The retro decor added flair to our photos and it allowed Vicki’s hair and make up to stay in place prior to letting loose and running around in the rain!

Following the Ice Cream Bar, we set off for Golden Gate Park and boy was it raining! But who doesn’t dream of falling in love and kissing in the rain?! Once in Golden Gate Park, Jasmine knew of a great spot offering open space, our desired oak trees, and puddles for us to splash in – rain boots were a must, for her at least! The best memory was picking up Vicki and twirling her around in the rain, it felt like we were invincible. The lighting was perfect as rainy days let you to shoot from any angle, allowing us to be more loose and free flowing.

Even though it poured on the day of our engagement shoot, Vicki and I embraced it and had a blast with it. Some things to note about doing your engagement photos in the rain – colorful rain boots are fun, Vicki would recommend a clear umbrella (helps with lighting), a brush and paper towels depending on how hard it’s raining (Vicki used them to blot every now and then), but most importantly, let loose and have fun! Vicki and I dove in head first and had a blast being playful and creating a memory that will last a lifetime!

From Catherine Guidry…. “Serendipity” interchangeably used with “Happy Accident” or “Pleasant Surprise” is a phrase Kristin + Philip often use to describe their relationship. Serendipity also stems from “Serendip” which is an old name for Sri Lanka, the country Philip’s dad is from.

Four years to that serendipitous first evening they met, Kristin + Philip tied the knot in San Francisco’s City Hall! After initially planning a New Orleans wedding, they decided an elopement was more in line with the vision for their day. San Francisco is a place they’ve wanted to visit for some time and after seeing the City Hall there, they were convinced it was the perfect spot for their elopement!

We started the afternoon at Powell Hotel, took a limo to City Hall for their ceremony, and finished the afternoon shooting at sunset on Baker Beach!

Kristin had so many lovely details including a GORGEOUS brooch bouquet that their families contributed to, vintage gloves, two beautiful dresses for the occasion… and a handsome husband to match! Philip also wore his own custom-made cufflinks; and was surprised with his grandfather’s wedding ring… now engraved with both his grandparents’ wedding date and his own.
