With a team of talent including Dream A Little Dream, Huckleberry Karen Designs and Papineau Calligraphy in a venue as classy as San Fran’s City Hall, fabulous fireworks are bound to go off. Josh Gruetzmacher and Uforia Films captured this epitome of elegance, with a Bride absolutely beaming from her Haute Bride veil to the bow on her Victor Harper masterpiece. City Hall

From Josh Gruetzmacher Photography… Ari and Stephanie hit it off after meeting in San Francisco at the Tipsy Pig Restaurant and Bar – the rest was history. They wanted to have special San Francisco details throughout their wedding, and San Francisco’s City Hall was the perfect backdrop. They made welcome gifts for the guests including a city map and guide book, named the reception tables after different SF neighborhoods, tailored the appetizers to reflect local tastes, like the Fisherman’s Wharf Crab Cakes, or the At&t Park mini hotdogs. They put the famous Herb Caen quote in their programs, “One day if I go to heaven, I’ll look around and say, ‘It ain’t bad, but it ain’t San Francisco.'” The design for the wedding was all about elegance, with rich garden florals, shades of blush, lavender and champagne. The large bow on Stephanie’s Victor Harper gown also became a design theme throughout the wedding. It was mimicked in the bridesmaid dresses, on the invitation and on the wedding cake.

From the Bride… We didn’t want to get married in a church or in a temple, but rather a neutral venue where we could have a priest and a rabbi marry us, honoring both religions we were raised in. We had our mothers light the unity candle and he did the custom breaking the glass at the end of our ceremony. It was also very important to find an elegant venue that would impress all of our guests and allow my father to walk me down the aisle. San Francisco City Hall was all of that and more! I am the only girl of a family with three boys, so planning the wedding was very much a “Father of the Bride” experience. My mom and I enjoyed every minute of wedding planning, anticipating the big day, while my father sat back and answered “yes” agreeing to all of our requests. My husband’s only request was to tell him where and what time to arrive. The day was absolutely perfect! We decided to do a first look, which gave us the opportunity to be alone together before the wedding started. We also decided to have our string quartet players play modern music throughout the ceremony and hired a singer to sing “Marry Me” by Train, a special song to us. There were so many memorable moments; it was the best day of our lives and we were so happy to be surrounded with our closest friends and family. My advice to brides planning their weddings now, is to hire a videographer and an amazing photographer, the day goes by so fast, you will regret not capturing every moment.
