From the Bride… We wanted to embrace the 1920’s feel of the ballroom and keep things clean and simple yet elegant and classy. We picked our colors to be navy, cream, black and gold. Very simple yet classic and a little flashy with the gold. We used pretty much as many orchids as possible because we both LOVE orchids and did all the flowers in cream and white to stay with elegant and simplistic. The tables had very tall arrangements as to reach up and highlight the gilded ceiling. We made all of our place cards and kept with the navy, cream, black and a splash of gold. We wanted to make sure the navy was really represented so we had the walls washed in blue light against the cream marble walls and all the tables were draped in cream linens with a shimmery gold overlay. We tried to make sure there was an apparent theme but it wasn’t overdone or being forced in people’s faces. Our wedding was absolutely breathtaking and I wish we could do that every year! Our planner made sure our day went perfectly and went off without a single hitch! She was unbelievable from top to bottom! Everything was seamless! I remember peeking in about an hour before and thinking “oh my gosh, this place is so pretty.” and knowing it was only going to get better! When the ceremony started it was just as breathtaking. Seeing Casey for the first time at the front of the aisle immediately put to rest any doubts I had about NOT doing a first look. Casey really did not want one and I fought him on it. In that moment I was glad he won. From the ceremony to the photos on the patio it was almost like a dream that was moving in slow motion. We can remember so much but all the little details are a blur, in the most amazing way possible. After photos we had our entrance off the main street and just waited to be called in as “Mr. & Mrs. Casey Spaich.” While we waited outside the gigantic vintage revolving doors Casey and I just looked at each other and had a moment to breathe and really just take in the magnitude of it all and it was incredible. When we walked into the reception our minds were BLOWN! It was absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous and beyond ANYTHING we could have imagined! To us it looked like and felt like we had walked straight from 2013 into the 1920’s. To our left were bartenders serving out of glass and gold teller windows, behind us was the classic revolving doors that had just transported us, in front of us was every single person that means the world to us, that has been there for us and were now helping us celebrate, and above us was that gorgeous ceiling that we had initially fallen in love with! It really was like our very own modern day Gatsby party! It was the best wedding, or party we’ve ever been privileged enough to attend, let alone be the celebrated guests!!! Absolutely amazing!
