Sunset Sacramento Engagement Session

These cuties, who can barely contain their laughter and love, have a passion for the outdoors, so what better place to capture their newly engaged glow than at Sacramento’s Jensen Botanical Gardens. Samantha Kirk took advantage of the gorgeous sunset and the finished results are sure to make these two smile for years to come – see them all in our VAULT right this way!

From the Bride-to-be… John proposed exactly one year from the night we met. He stole me away for the weekend and we drove up Hwy 1 to sleepy Gualala. The weather was not cooperating with us, but we made the most of our stormy weekend getaway. John proposed with a great view of the beach in front of a cozy fire.

Anyone who knows us will tell you we work too much! When we aren’t traveling or spending time with family, we love to be outdoors; hiking, fishing, on the water, you name it! Our favorite Friday nights are spent making homemade pizza and relaxing with our pup, Jack.

From Kate Whelan EventsMolly and Margo had a vintage tea inspired wedding reminiscent of Downton Abbey (one of their favorite shows). A mix of wines, plums, peaches, ivory and metallics were used in the florals, bridesmaid dresses, linens and backdrop. Sterling silver teapots held centerpiece arrangements, DIY monogrammed handkerchiefs were given as favors, a chalkboard globe used as a guestbook, vintage velvet furniture was used both as VIP seating for the ceremony and was repurposed as a lounge later, and a dramatic ribbon and muslin backdrop set the stage for a beautiful ceremony. Guests noshed on oysters, pate, lamb chops and an incredible cheese plate before indulging in Ginger Elizabeth gourmet chocolates and macarons. Molly and Margo ended the evening dancing the night away with their guests.
