You may or may not have heard, but the SMP ladies are sort of obsessed with Downton Abbey (read: we soooo are). So a Downton Abbey inspired shoot from True Bliss Photography? Pretty much a dream come true with gorgeous blooms from Sweet Blossom Designs, yummy treats from Beverly’s Best Bakery and, of course, a whole lot of pretty. See it all in the full gallery.
From True Bliss Photography… The inspiration for this shoot came from a mixture of my love for nostalgic sentimental things and the highly popular show Downton Abbey. My vision centered around the marriage of the two main characters Lady Mary Crawley and Mathew Crawley.
My goal was to bring to life the excitement felt before a wedding back when men and woman weren’t allowed to ever be alone as well as the slightly uncomfortable anticipation but overall exultation of becoming husband and wife.
The delicate relationship and the shyness around the opposite sex was channeled into the bride and groom models. The details are a mixture of antiques, my own family heirlooms, and a variety of elements on site. We use conservative clothing and emotions displayed through looks and posture. The jewelry represents family heirlooms past down as well as combination of books, vases and pictures displayed. The goal was also to help brides feel they could relate in some way with this bride, or elements of details and put their own modern spin into it.
