Here at SMP, Boho is the new it girl. She is effortless, elegant, laid back and yet entirely timeless. Wispy gowns and floral headpieces complete her style and there is an innate ode to all things organic. And this inspirational shoot – crafted and photographed by This Girl Nicole Photography with a film from Anna Lord Studio – captures the boho bride to utter perfection. More here in the gallery!
From This Girl Nicole Photography… This styled shoot was inspired by this real life bride and her custom-made gown by Miss Tashina. Pulling elements from the dress, the shoot encompasses the ethereal, bohemian, and delicate styles. I wanted to photograph the bride in an area that would compliment these elements, and not overpower the softness of the overall shoot; thus, leading me to a neutral color palette of a golden field, which also brought in a nice texture from the grass and oak tree.
The pops of color bring in some playfulness without it screaming a typical bohemian color palette and enhances the simplicity of the dress and environment. I would imagine this styled shoot would appeal to many brides and not just a boho-chic bride because of the diverse color palette. The one piece that really brought this shoot together were the florals; the “wildness” of the bouquet works beautifully with the setting and because the dress is so simple, the bouquet could be a little “louder.” Brides with bouquets like this do not need an extravagant dress or lots of jewelry, it becomes its own accessory and makes for stunning images.
The headpiece plays the same roll, it becomes another accessory and compliments the bouquet nicely and also brings some pretty color around the brides face.
