The weddings that often top my favorites list are the ones that center around a love that you can feel… even if you weren’t present. Part of that is a good photographer, and Photography by Jay C Winter is one of the best, and part of that is a profound kind of deep love. The kind of love that inspires.

From the beaitiful bride… Edan and I met in January 2010 at Bally Total Fitness in Pleasant Hill. He had been working there as a trainer ever since he had graduated, and I started working out with a trainer just a couple of months later. To say that we were struck by one another would certainly be an understatement! The series of events that followed still serve as an incredible testament to God’s complete sovereignty and limitless grace. By the time that we were officially a couple six months later, He had already caused us to experience so much together that we couldn’t imagine not being together. Now, almost two and a half years later and with the loving support of our families, we prepare to commit our lives to one another before the Lord and our loved ones.

Our wedding was nestled up on the hillside in the city of Morgan Hill, CA at a beautiful, newly renovated mansion with beautiful grounds and an elegant, classy yet vintage style. The property overlooks the rolling hills and vineyard below. We had a Jewish wedding with a very simple, slightly vintage style. The chuppah that we were married beneath was made of lace and draped over a beautiful white arbor. We did the traditional breaking of the glass, reading from our marriage contract (called a Ketuba) and drank wine from a kiddush cup. Our wedding colors were gray and yellow throughout with a lot of lush greenery in the background. The centerpieces were plain mason jars with gray burlap glued around the middle and seasonal white and yellow flowers (hydrangeas, daffodils, yellow garden roses etc.) we had soft candlelight in votives as part of the centerpieces as well. Dinner was in a beautiful room off the side of the mansion with windows overlooking the wedding ceremony area and the landscape. We had chandeliers and drapes hanging from the ceiling, fireplaces lit in a couple of the rooms, engagement pictures up of us on the mantles and vintage postcards with messages on them. The bridesmaid’s dresses were different styles and shades of yellow. They chose the dresses they wanted to wear. Our photographers also brought their photo booth, which added an extra element to the evening, and gave the guests something fun to do! There were also bocce ball courts on one side of the mansion beneath some beautiful oak and olive trees.
