We’ve seen our fair share of al fresco lovefests, but there’s something about this garden affair that takes California pretty to a whole new level. Simple yet chic, Coastyle Events crafted a day filled with lush greens by Feather Acres and contemporary touches. Combined with the talent of Troy Grover behind the lens and video captured by Renéemudd, you can guarantee that every moment will be beautiful.

From Troy Grover Photographers…A wish-I-was-there type of wedding. From the moment you entered the lush gardens, you immediately felt the warmth and love dedicated to the details of the nuptials, paired with a contagious energy from all of the friends, family and bridal party (there were 24!) gathered to celebrate the adorable couple.
The wedding was simple, yet elegant, pulling in old elements like the bride’s grandma’s 1940′s cake topper with contemporary touches of woodfired pizza, long, ticking-striped runners & branded, san-seriffed stationery. Much of it was the DIY handy work of the bride and her mother, and far from looking DIY at all. The bride designed all of the wedding stationery, made the farm-to-table runners, modern table numbers, and dusted every mid-century modern pizza stand with a fabulous gold finish. The bride’s mother arranged the bridal party’s bouquets along with the boutonnieres and was the vision behind the amazing oversized lanterns that paved the aisle to the old fern that covered the alter.
The ceremony was serenaded with live music from the bride’s two uncles and sister who’s 3-part harmony was nothing short of incredible, which set the mood for the entire evening.
As the evening transitioned into a gazebo lit reception stranded with whimsical market lights, the remainder of the night was idyllic— speeches-epic, dance party-unbeatable, and happy couple? Just watch the video… quite possibly the happiest newlyweds you’ve ever seen!

This wedding had me at pink. And then the palms, the happy blooms from Lovely Stems Floral, the dresses (all of them) and the smiles? Well lets just say it all swept me right off my feet. Heidi-O-Photo told the beautiful story of this garden soiree through her lens and you can find it all here in the gallery.
From the beautiful Bride…After Joey and I got engaged in the midst of a sweltering summer season, I knew that I wanted to plan an early spring wedding. This is my favorite time of the year because plants begin to bloom and the weather warms up. Spring is also the same time of the year when Joey and I went on our first date. He planned a simple date hiking up Palomar Mountain. On this day, the mountain side was sprinkled with yellow and orange wild flowers, and wispy green grass. It was this image and many more similar memories with Joey that inspired my wedding style. Joey and I wanted an informal, garden wedding with bright colors. We wanted to share our love for the outdoors with our friends and family. We picked the San Diego Botanic Gardens as our venue for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. It provided the perfect backdrop for a garden inspired wedding with flower, bird, and wood details. Since gardens are filled with various flora, I chose the color coral to broaden the color scheme. Décor and flowers ranged from pink to orange, with hits of blue to add contrast.

I’m in love with this wedding. There, I said it. First I fell in love with stunning florals from Sugar Rose Flowers, and then my heart lept over the gorgeous setting that is the San Diego Botanic Garden. It’s a beautiful combination. But when I laid eyes on the couple in the center of it all captured beautifully by heidi-o-photo , I was a goner – because their love is the best detail of all. See it all right here.
From Heidi… Kelly & Lucas are the sweetest couple you’ll ever meet. Lucas is a buff rugby player with a soft heart and Kelly is a kind spirited yogi who loves to party. Kelly envisioned and planned a gorgeous blast of a wedding. Everything had an elegant pretty feel to it but was put together in a comfortable way. The colors were mostly soft pinks and greens with a few punches of color in the florals.
They chose the lovely San Diego Botanic as the venue for their celebration and it couldn’t have been better. They tied the knot surrounded by tall trees and partied out on a lawn with market lights and a gazebo. They chose long tables and dinner was served family style. In the middle of all the tables was a dance floor and stage for the awesome band Last Call to perform.
They kept their wedding party small- Lucas chose his best friend as his best man and Kelly chose her sister as her maid of honor.
It was a beautiful celebration.
