From Charmed Events Group…Our team, collectively, was inspired to bring color back into weddings and event design. We wanted to bring fun and whimsy into the traditionally expected, rustic design aesthetic so we used a palette of blues and purples as a base for our design. Pichetti Winery was a beautiful venue and backdrop to our shoot and we created a tablescape on their grounds using farm tables and dining benches for the table concept. We paired bright, yet muted flowers with a blue runner and for place settings, used different patterned china and gold flatware, accented with menus that were inserted onto wooden boards to create a farm to table experience.
For the ceremony, we really wanted to emphasize “love” so Huckleberry Karen created an amazing foliage creation that spelled out love, accented with flowers, placed in between a draped arch with dusty blue drape. The aisles were lined with purple wildflowers and were gorgeous paired with the ceremony benches.
For the escort display, we created a natural foliage frame and hand painted a wooden sign with the words “besotted by you” which was the base of our design concept. Escort Cards in gold calligraphy were placed within the foliage frame and affixed to the side of the barn on property.
For desserts, we created mini plates of assorted sweets as an alternative to the dessert bar that you traditionally see. Each plate was thoughtfully created by Delish Designs and featured goodies such as upside down bundt cakes and blackberry cupcakes.

I’m one of those lucky ladies who happened to know within weeks that my love was “the one.” So an eight-month whirlwind courtship? I love it. Especially when it’s the story behind one seriously adorable duo who tackled their rustic California shindig all the way from London… and did so with the help of Helios Images, Karen Huckleberry Designs + amazing family and friends. See all of the pretty here.
From the Bride… Our beautiful wedding was an intimate affair shared with our family and closest of friends, many which traveled oversees from eight different countries. The day was full of laughter and love and was absolutely magical against such a rustic backdrop.
My husband and I met five years ago while travelling through Thailand and after a whirlwind long-distance romance were engaged in eight months. I moved to London to live with James back in 2010 so always new that I wanted our wedding to be back home in California. After touring numerous venues in the Bay Area, James and I ended up falling in love with Picchetti Winery, a small family run winery in my own hometown of Cupertino. The grounds were beautiful and provided the natural and rustic vibe we wanted our wedding to have. With the help of my amazing mother and other family and friends I was able to plan the whole wedding oversees in London. There were plenty of handmade items from the printed menus, hand-written favour boxes, table numbers which displayed both James and I at that particular age, and wedding favor keychains made from Picchetti Winery corks created by one of my gracious bridesmaids. I made my own wooden signs to point guests in the direction of the winery as well as our tree guestbook which had all of our guest “leafing their fingerprints.”
I wanted the decorations to be colorful and cheerful with a lot of textures so decided to go with different shades of berries and plums. The ceremony took place outside in front of an old barn, ombre flower petals down the aisle and a beautiful olive and eucalyptus leaf arch made by Huckleberry Karen Designs. Coming from a musical family, I had both my brothers playing the guitar during the ceremony which added to the personal touch. There were deers, chickens and a peacock running around the grounds during the ceremony and made it seem like a true fairytale! For the reception we moved indoors to the wine tasting room where we feasted on Seafood and Chorizo Paella which was an absolutely amazing pairing with Picchetti Winery’s beautiful wines.
We were both stunned by how our wedding day came out as perfect as we always had imagined it and so thankful for having so many amazing family and friends that we were able to share it with.

Just ONE of the many things that Charmed Events Group guarantees you is the luxury of enjoying your wedding day ~ no worries, no stress, just joy! Granted, the months leading up to this day might be a bit stressful, but THE day? No way. It should be charmed bliss! No better example than Natalie and David’s Saratoga wedding …
David and Natalie were married on a beautiful and sunny California day in June. Natalie was a bride that was so in love with her wedding day that the days and months leading up to it were full of planning meticulous details in making sure that everything was just right. Natalie was the ultimate girls’ bride, filling her day with all things pink that included lots of blush pink peonies to die for mixed with bright pink dahlias for her bouquet and floral arrangements. Sitting gloriously atop her floral arrangements were quaint, glittery butterflies that seemed to float right on the tips. Her cake was a beautiful tiered buttercream cake topped with the most perfect sugar anemones surrounded by jewels and crystals. Her beautiful ceremony took place at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church with its magnificent stained glass wall panels and her reception was held at Dynasty in Cupertino, CA. The day was a perfect balance of East meets West as a tea ceremony was held, traditional Chinese table toasts were made, followed by dancing till midnight. ~ Francis Liu, Charmed Events Group
