Charming French Wedding Inspiration + Get-Away Porsche!

Getting a lovely note from John and Marlene of Koman Photography is like taking the first sip of a Friday afternoon cocktail. Completely refreshing, smile-infused and filled with excitement for what’s to come. And this slice of chéri that they collaborated on with Frankly Weddings induced those exact feelings. Unwrap all the pretty (including that sweet get-away ride!) here in THE VAULT.

From Koman PhotographyWe were so fortunate to work with such an amazingly talented team! We’ve been dreaming of a French Wedding Inspiration for sometime now and we knew the timeless beauty of Greystone Mansion would go perfectly with the beautiful love our newly wed couple share.

From Frankly WeddingsEveryone wants their wedding to be memorable – from the ceremony and vows, to the food and toasts, to the tablescapes and dances, but there’s one very special element of the big day that is often overlooked. This piece offers endless creative possibilities, and a final glimpse of the newly married couple. It’s literally the memory that you leave your friends and family with…Your get-away ride! And the get-away vehicle? No other would do than a head-to-toe glamorous 1969 Porsche Speedster. Together with power-duo Koman Photography, Frankly.Weddings styled an inspirational shoot at the classically romantic Greystone Mansion in Los Angeles, a location fit for the perfect escape. Take a glimpse at the perfectly captured atmosphere… This sleek black on black convertible from Black and White Rental Car was transformed from a speed mobile to a dreamy; French-inspired ride that you can literally ride off together into the sunset in. We knew we needed to soften the look and enlisted Floral powerhouse Indigo & Plum to style the blooms. Arrangements of luscious, deep red peonies and soft, blush hued roses were used against the sleek Speedster, softening the black on black. Completing the look of love, was the hand painted banner by Sealed: Lettering + Art, draped with a romantic swag on the car’s passenger side. It’s message was of course, in the language of love – “tout juste marie” (just married, in French!).

What bride and groom best suits this dreamy escape vehicle? This bride’s French Country-Estate inspired look was created by Bella Bridal as a compliment to the iconic Greystone Mansion itself. With a beaded and lace gown that appears to float across the property, and a classic headpiece, from Twigs & Honey, that perfectly compliments the elegance of the atmosphere, her look radiates love and elegance. Her perfect finishing touch…deep red lips, a la Julie Jong of Theresa Huang Makeup & Hair Design, to match those deeply colored flowers in her bouquet. The groom’s look is spot on here as well, with a Banana Republic suit and bow tie in a handsome shade of gray – the perfect shade to stand out against that sleek, black Porsche.
