From Confetti & Cleats… The inspiration for Petra and Justin’s rehearsal beach party was based on their engagement and the cute cappuccino cups they drink out of every morning. I knew their daily walks to the water, with cappuccinos in hand, were a huge part of their relationship and I loved hearing how he proposed by putting the ring in the bottom of her morning drink. Could it get more adorable?! I wanted to re-create the memory by having sugar cookies designed to look like the mugs. We ran with the coffee theme when Petra and I had driven across country together and saw re-usable coffee cups at Starbucks, deciding to adorn them with the name of each guest, to avoid bringing glass on the beach. Because of the location, it seemed fitting to include a “coral” rock-sugar cake, along with starfish, pearl, and sea shell cookies. The “sea salt” caramel cake pops were incredible and gone almost instantly. The “sea glass” cupcakes and the key lime pie bites were great bite-sized desserts to pull everything together!
From the Bride… The lovely Carley Beimel of Confetti & Cleats and the beautiful Alex Elminoufi worked together to create a rehearsal night of coffee themed treats with a coastal flair. Our dear friends (brother & sister) Noah, 15, played the guitar and Laila, 10, sang for us all while Justin and I greeted the group, told the story of our first date and the significance of serving pizza and wine to them for our beach rehearsal night. It was just like our first date all over again except with all the people that we love!
