I think it’s crazy amazing when two people say “I do” in the exact same place they first said “I love you.” Movie amazing, really. And when it’s two cuties as adorable as this sweet duo? Well, I love it even more. Because theirs is a wedding that is chock-full of fabulous details, from the beautiful Ramekins Sonoma location to that stunning Pronovias gown to one breathtaking image after another captured by Rebecca Gosselin Photography. Care to spend your morning basking in a whole lot of non-stop pretty (I know you do)? Join me in the gallery for sooo much more.
From the Bride… Shawn and I had our first romantic weekend away in Sonoma together. I’m a native and prefer Sonoma to the Napa Valley and was playing tour guide for Shawn’s first time to California. After wine tasting throughout the valley, we said our first “I Love You” over cocktails at the El Dorado Kitchen, we had the most amazing duck Confit at The Girl and the Fig and chased ducks down around the pond afterwards on the square. It was a perfect weekend and we had hoped to recreate the experience and feel of where we first fell in love for our wedding guests, right down to the pork belly and pinot. We’re foodies and Shawn has been keeping an eye out for culinary schools for me, which I hope to be my next venture.
We were in Sonoma looking at venues and the first one we came across was Ramekins, by a wrong turn really. Shawn pointed out that it was a cooking school and so we decided to just stop in and explore. They were very gracious with us. Once we met with Yvette and saw all that Ramekins had to offer, we were smitten; it just was such a perfect fit. However, it was the very first place we saw so we were encouraged to look at more before committing. We looked all over the Valley, but knew from the start the Ramekins was it, we just knew it, and are so happy that we stumbled across it. It was PERFECT!
