If I sat down and typed out the reasons I absolutely adore these stunning San Francisco sweethearts, I can guarantee you one thing… it would be one crazy long list. Because these two cuties are the kind of couple you just can’t help but fall in love with. From their cute as can be meeting at a bar (funny pick-up line included) to their long-distance romance to their Sonoma Valley nuptials at Viansa Winery (which they completely planned themselves), it’s an epic love story from start to finish. All captured in pretty, pretty images by eLLe PHOTOGRAPHY, this is one gallery you just can’t miss. Join me there for more.
From the Bride… Scott and I met the old fashioned way – he walked up to me at a bar with a funny pick up line, we started chatting, and by last call he had my phone number. At the time, I was in San Francisco for an internship, and thought he would be a fun person to date while I was in town for a few months. By the time I left San Francisco to go back to law school, I knew that our relationship was something special, and that long-distance was worth a shot. A year and a half later, I moved back to San Francisco, and shortly after, he proposed.
On our wedding day, everything looked better than we expected, and all the little details meant so much to us because we planned everything together and by ourselves (Scott was the most involved groom which surprised me because he is such a guy’s guy). We fell in love with our venue the moment we saw the gorgeous views of Sonoma valley from the hilltop winery, and we knew this would be the perfect backdrop for the event. We held the ceremony in the vineyard’s barrel room, and I walked down the aisle to “Here Comes the Sun” by The Beatles, one of our favorite songs.
Our wedding weekend was also the first time our families had met (my family lives in Brazil and Scott’s family in Oregon), and it was so special to see our parents chatting it up (not to mention dancing the night away). After dinner, I switched out of my long gown to a short party dress, and that proved to be a good move, because Scott and I were on the dance floor for the rest of the night with our friends… I don’t think our band played one slow song after dinner. We had so much fun, the setting was gorgeous, the food was delicious, and there was some serious dancing… we couldn’t have asked for anything more!
