Santa Margarita Ranch Wedding by LVL Weddings & Events

Barn weddings hold a very, very special place in my heart. I wed in just such a structure a few years ago and can attest to the fact that barn weddings are out of control fun and rustic in a totally elegant and gorgeous sort of way. This Santa Margarita Ranch stunner is also boasting the fabulous styling of LVL Weddings & Events which never ceases to capture our wedding loving hearts and of course, the fabulous images by Jake Odening of Mike Larson Inc. From LVL Weddings & Events…This fun couple from The Bay area had such a sweet and beautiful wedding. They both come from larger families and wanted to find a place they could have a fun celebration with all of their family and friends. Santa Margarita Ranch is absolutely stunning, the eclectic grounds and beautiful barn was the perfect backdrop for Danielle’s dream of a romantic day. Danielle and Eddie are so adorable, their love is so evident and Jake Odening captured every moment. They said “I do’s” under the picturesque tree and guests enjoyed drinks, popcorn and a strolling magician during the cocktail hour. The reception was breathtaking! One of my favorite details were all the DIY chalkboard signs used for the bar, directions and table numbers. Shoes were important to this couple, so they took the opportunity to have playful shoes that represented them. All the groomsmen received matching shoes to wear as well.

From the Bride…I had always wanted to get married  under a big tree. It just symbolizes family, strength and wisdom – all things you want a marriage to symbolize. Once we started shaping our big day we fell more in love with it. The Ranch had so many beautiful elements to it, from the garden with the vintage theater marquee, wishing well and windmill to the rustic barn with cracks that let romantic slits of dusk transform the wood into a breathtaking backdrop.  We were on a strict budget, so we decided to let the venue speak for itself and add subtle but impactful decor elements rather than over doing it. Romantic simplicity.

My advice for brides, don’t over do it. Being detailed is a must, but don’t start adding things at the last-minute for the sake of adding another element. Also, my inspiration board was key! I pulled pics from blogs and websites and compiled them into a PowerPoint slide. I shared it with all my vendors and it really helped them capture what I was trying to accomplish. And hire a coordinator! Having some one that knows you, your vision and is in charge of all the details allows you to enjoy your day. Heather had everything under control, running smoothly and was there to comfort and calm any nerves.
