Bay Area Wedding by Storybox Art

It isn’t very often that we get to pore over a traditional Hindu wedding on the blog but that doesn’t mean that we aren’t equally obsessed with all of the beautiful details. The stunning henna patterns alone always result in a tidal wave of ohhss and ahhhhs in the office. Storybox Art photographed the heck out of this gem and it is bursting with a rush of vibrant colors, beautiful traditions and of course, a so, so in love couple. See it all here!

From the Bride… When we decided to get married we wanted the wedding to focus on building community. With that as a focal point, we were able to frame our priorities around the people we love. While we had originally planned to have our ceremony outdoors under the redwoods, we had to decide two hours before the wedding to move it indoors due to an unexpected June rain. Within moments, our friends created a phone tree to inform everyone of the change in venue, moved all the vendors to the new location, and helped to transform a local community center into a beautiful space for a hindu ceremony and reception within a matter of moments. It was their generosity, work and energy that made our wedding day perfect.
