In the wedding blogging world, we don’t often hear the bride say she was more concerned about finding her bridesmaid dresses than her own gown. Or have that same lovely bride proceed to credit those dresses as the sole inspiration for the wedding, but that is just the case in this wedding by Sarah K Chen Photography. The fashion-loving bride wanted her love of prints and colors to really shine through the entire affair and shine they did! From the Bride…Working in the fashion industry and dealing with many prints and colors, my wardrobe is bursting with colors and printed tops/dresses. Before I was engaged, I knew a floral bridesmaid dress is a must. I was obsessed about finding that perfect bridesmaid dress more then my own wedding dress. It took months scrounging around the LA fashion district, from mall to mall, and searching online. Finally I came upon J.Crew, the honeymoon dress, and simply fell in love. The dress was the sole inspiration for our wedding. Right away, I knew what the theme of our wedding would be. The wedding colors would be from the dress; hues of pink, coral, and purple. My flowers were based upon those colors. I scanned the bridesmaid dress and had a friend use the floral motif to make the invitation suite, name cards, menu cards, and ceremony program. It was a great experience planning the wedding and to see it come to life on the wedding day is really unforgettable.
