It’s no secret we adore a good vineyard wedding – there is just so much to love about the intimate feel of a winery, not to mention the obvious appeal of delicious vino (I’m a big fan). But what makes me want to do cartwheels about this particular vineyard wedding by Keri Doolittle Photography is the couple’s modern approach the design of their day. The icing on the cake? The stunning florals from Pixies Petals that just seem to pop through the stunning photographs, and there is even more to toast to in the full gallery.

Rob and I were married at Wilson Creek Winery in Temecula, Ca. We wanted to have a smaller intimate wedding at an outside location. Throughout the six years we dated, we grew to love wine together and on a wine tasting trip we fell in love with the famous almond champagne at Wilson Creek Winery. Rob even took me to the Wilson Creek Winery restaurant, Creek Side Grill, the night we got engaged. It’s beautiful grounds, savory wines and delicious food made it a perfect venue for our special day.
Our theme for the wedding was a classic modern look. Because it was a fall wedding we didn’t want anything too bright or pastel so we chose a deep magenta as the main color and used black and silver as accents to make it pop. As a planner by trade I was very specific about how I wanted everything to look so our favors, chair numbers, name cards, menus, programs, etc. were all DIY. We even had a friend graphic designer create our own unique “logo” to use on our invitations and throughout our materials. The flowers were what tied everything together and, other than our photos, were my favorite thing about the wedding.
For the ceremony we had originally planned to do it on one of their outside stages with the fields of vines behind us, but even in Southern California you have to have a plan B for rain, which we didn’t. Luckily, the winery has a beautiful spiral staircase coming down from the bridal suite and we turned their foyer into our new ceremony location. Some of our guests were able to watch from above and it felt great to have everyone’s love and support surrounding us from all angles. Our cocktail hour took place in the Cask Room which lead right into the Barrel room where we had a candle lit family style reception. The day turned out to be absolutely perfect and I truly could not have asked for anything more.

My wedding band is from www.tungstenworld.com ... if you are local to CA you can go into their store as I did. It is. Tungsten Carbide with a white Carbon Fiber inlay.. thanks everyone for the nice comments!!
I love the length and finishing touches of the veil. . .any chance you might be able to tell me where you got it? Looking for something in this style in a champagne color for my wedding :) Thank you for sharing the wonderful photos.
To Elizabeth: This was my daughter and son-in-law's wedding. The bride ordered her veil from a woman who custom makes them on etsy.com. She was able to choose the color, length, etc. She paid a very, very reasonable price and got exactly what she asked for! Good luck! MOB.
