While most engaged couples are busy looking for the perfect venue, Edmund and Vicky were racing to finish construction of their new house and landscaping of the backyard in time for their wedding! They did an amazing job, and ended up having a beautiful wedding days after completion of the project – the most exciting house warming party ever!

Many fun and whimsical details were designed by Natasha of Waterlily Pond for the beautiful summer day at the new house. The wedding ceremony took place on the front lawn of the house under the oak trees. Custom-made wooden arch was playfully decorated with glass bubbles filled with orange flowers. The centerpiece of the cocktail reception was Waterlily Pond’s signature floating escort cards pond. Fruits were incorporated into the design of the pond, tying into the fruit theme of the table names. The dinner reception followed in the tent set up by the newly constructed pool. Playful tabletop design and a multitude of orange lanterns created the perfect setting for a night of great food and dancing. Everybody was on the dance floor, even the grandmothers.

As the night progressed, the swimming pool lit up with a bold graphic pattern, closing the evening with a touch of glamour. Late-night snacks for the ‘afterparty’ were more down-to earth, and included mini hamburgers and french fries served in paper cones. Personal details included the bride’s hairpiece fashioned out of a family heirloom, the groomsmen’s charming bow ties made by a friend, and the cake and late-night pastries, also made by a friend.

  2. Angela says:

Sorry but I can't relate to a bride who doesn't show her face. If one is that concerned with privacy, then why publicly blog the most intimate day of your life? Yawn.

  3. Evie says:

    I agree..

  4. Megan says:

It is a little disappointing not to see the bride and groom in full but would've loved to see more pictures of her dress, it looks stunning! The details of this wedding are superb and their new house is lovely. Congrats!

I love this wedding! The colors are gorgeous. The peaches, corals and oranges pop beautifully against the amethyst purple! The bridesmaid dresses are gorgeous! Does anyone know where they are from??? I understand why a bride wouldn't want to show her face. This post is highlighting the vendor's talent, not the bride and groom themselves.

I would also love to know where to get the hanging round, glass vases. Please help!

Thank you for the compliments of the design and flowers. To answer your questions, I purchased these particular glass bubbles from a wholesale source. But I also seen similar ones at CB2 store a few months ago. Try CB2 store or online. Good luck!
