Organic, sustainable design with a french flair? Sign us up! We can’t think of a better pairing for this outdoor wedding at the Thomas Fogarty Winery in Woodside, California. Meg Perotti was on hand to photograph all the pretty details that were so beautifully executed by Janece Shellooe and Amelia Thomas of Every Elegant Detail. I guess when you have a bride and groom who have a love for all things farm and french, it is inevitable that the result will be drop dead crazy gorgeous. This soiree definitely gets the SMP seal of approval.

From the Bride:

We met through a mutual friend and old roommate of mine which had been a high school friend of Kevin’s. The night we met we were put on the same team in trivial pursuit and were AWFUL at it. But, we knew that night that we had met our match. Kevin is a chef and the winner of 4 culinary medals and was an apprentice to the 2008 U.S Olympic team in Germany. I have been an artist all my life and was recently accepted into design school in San Francisco. So, clearly we are both in careers of passion, aesthetics, and hard work which made for a good team in life and in wedding planning.

From Meg Perotti:

Megan and Kevin’s inspiration came from a few different places. Megan has a love for anything vintage, especially fabrics. So, it was clear that fabrics were going to be used as a central theme throughout. Another source of inspiration came from Megan and Kevin’s love of farm life, fresh organic produce, and sustainability. This inspired such things as the Farm table style head table, Strauss milk bottles filled with flowers, and the farm style/vintage dessert table. Another theme was vintage typewriter theme: the welcome table with the vintage type writer and Megan and Kevins names spelled out in old letters, and Kevins vintage typewriter key cuff links. There is something so sincere about the idea of classic typewritten letters and the idea of old fashioned methods of communication. The last source of inspiration came from their love of french culture, food and music. This is what inspired the theme “La Vie En Rose” which adorned many of the paper products such as programs, drink labels, and parasol basket signs! The head table had vintage french signs, french sugar tins with flowers and little french touches can be seen here and there throughout the wedding decor. They also thought it would be fun to incorporate a live french acoustic band to tie it all together.

This helps me get a "big picture" of how my wedding can mesh---all the anthro details, the tea tins, the typewriter keys, the vintage fonts. Its just lovely!

I love the organic produce inspiration. What a fun idea to incorporate into your wedding! I write about http://beautyxpose.com/ " rel="nofollow">eco-friendly makeup and fashion for a beauty blog, and I love to see people being environmentally responsible while still having fun.

  21. Alex says:

Woweee, what a perfect and inspiring wedding. I would love to know where you sourced the typewriter keys to spell our your names - I am hoping to incorporate something similar.

  22. Thanks everyone...I had sooooo much fun doing our wedding and loved every minute (well most....for any of you brides planning a wedding you know what I mean) and @ Alex-I bought the typewriter keys at the flea market. They are sold individually for $2 a piece so I just bought them to spell our names and than bought that piece of vintage hankie and used fabric glue to glue them on! Took about 10 minutes! Simple and relatively inexpensive! :)

  23. That menu design is to die for! I love love love these photos, the woodsy wedding was so quaint and spectacular. I adore his scally cap & the color scheme throughout.

    : )

  24. Jill Pasco says:

I am in awe. This is a wonderful theme. Perhaps this could also be done in Baltimore. I would hire some baltimore wedding photographers do get this similar photos. It's just so amazing.

  25. Lucy Jameson says:

All of us at www.personaliseyourwedding.com love this ,,, we'd love to add it to our next newsletter.

  26. @Lucy-that is fine with me as long as all my vendors get credited :))) just make sure you get my address and send me over a copy! Thank for the compliments

  27. Best wishes Megan & Kevin!

It was such a wonderful surprise to come across your lovely wedding on Style Me Pretty. You look stunning, and we love how you made Mathia your own!
