The word of the day is…GORGEOUS. Really freaking gorgeous. This wedding will be a fairytale (from the budget to the style) for a lot of you, but it was so stunning that I simply couldn’t resist. Plus, it was photographed by one of my all time favs, Aaron Delesie. Which was actually a perfect choice for the style of the day, as you’ll see in the photographs. This wedding is the epitome of classic elegance. A soft, romantic color palette. A beautiful gown. A backdrop that would make any bride swoon and details that are, well…perfect. Oh and we’ll be doing a look for less at the end of the day to show you how to translate some of the touches into any budget.

The designer behind the day, Carolyn of The Special Day, Inc. has been sweet enough to share some of the details…
We met Ana and Eddie at a wedding that I had previously planned in 2008. They came to me in May and asked what date I had still have available in September…so we had only 4 months to plan their wedding. They gave us complete creative, design and planning reigns (which we loved) to plan their affair in such a short amount of time. Ana wanted their wedding location had to have an ocean view, and since Ana grew up in Palos Verdes, we chose the beautiful Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes prior to their opening. The official grand opening was not until June 2009. Rancho Palos Verdes is already situated on a peninsula, and their ceremony site, was at Catalina Point – which was also a small peninsula that jutted out into the Pacific Ocean for the most breathtaking ocean views.
The style of the wedding was elegant, romantic, opulent, yet also relaxed which the location lended itself well to. We chose for their wedding colors light turquoise blue, creams and golds, with accents of lavender & violet purple to exude the style. Ana chose champagne gold for her bridesmaids dresses, while she had 3 dresses + her Korean cultural gown, the han bok, for the wedding day – 1 gown for her pre-ceremony photos, 1 gown for the ceremony, her han bok for the Korean traditional ceremony and her cute short gown for dancing.

Hey girls...working on getting the shoe info together for you guys:)
Where are those invitations/programs from? They are just absolutely beautiful! I have been searching for something like that.
I know you're working out it - but those shoes!!!!
Hi ladies - for all of you shoe fans (I LOVE SHOES TOO!!!), Ana's gorgeous gold shoes are by Jimmy Choo!
I'll share a little secret with you about her dresses =) - though she had 3 gorgeous wedding gowns, in Korean culture, it is quite common to rent your wedding gown. Ana had actually rented all 3 gowns from a new Korean dress salon in Los Angeles along with all the alterations, hair pieces, and even included the 6 champagne bridesmaids dresses for less than $2000 total. This is not a deal you can always get though because often times it costs $2000+ just to rent 1 dress, but that can be for a custom rental or custom purchase. Still, it's a steal for what she paid!!
Okay Carolyn! Cough up the name of that Korean dress salon!
Thanks Carloyn! Wow, I'm jealous for all you LA brides out there! ;p My PRONOVIAS cost a little over 2K alone!

Carolyn- Is there any information you could offer about her ring? It is truly stunning and I haven't seen anything like it! Even just knowing the cut of the stone would be very helpful, but the type of setting, and potentially designer too would be amazing. It looks so beautiful from afar- would love to see it close up!
