Sometimes it’s the wedding that I fall in love with. Sometimes it’s just the details. Sometimes it’s the story behind the day and sometimes, like today, it’s the couple. When I saw this affair that the fabulous Youngrens sent me, I fell instantly for the gorgeous, obviously madly in love couple. They are effortlessly lovely with a style that is simply stunning!

From The Youngrens…
Stephanie and Sean’s wedding took place at a private estate in Montrose, just outside of Pasadena, CA. Under the direction of event coordinator Chris Clark of Extraordinary Events, the couple held their wedding reception throughout the multi-level, spacious garden of the bride’s family home. They infused the space with modern lighting, simple tabletop elegance, and personal Hispanic flavor (Stephanie’s grandmother made her famous homemade tamales). The real show stopper, however, was the dangling Chinese-style lanterns they strung throughout the space that lit the area with warm sophistication as the sun sank down and nighttime took over.

I lOVE her dress!! Anyone know who it is??
{STUNNING} ... We're falling in {LOVE} with the table linens ... Her dress ... and the crystals/flowers hanging from what appears to be thin air. SMP has done it again!

I know Steph and Sean well, and I've gotten to know The Youngrens. Chris Clark, who did such a fabulous job on this wedding, is getting married in a few weeks. What's constantly amazing to me, and I look at a lot of wedding photography these days, is that the Youngrens were able to capture this incredibly special day in such an authentic way. Everything came together, from the details and decorations (most, including the lighting, built by hand by Chris and his fiance) to the pure expression of joy following the wedding and lasting into the wee hours of the morning. There are images of this setting taken after dark on the Youngren's blog. How many outdoor weddings are actually more beautiful after dark?
I've worked with Chris Clark as well when I was an Event Designer and he definitely is extremely detail oriented and super creative so I'm not suprised to see the stylish, creative flair to this wedding. Bravo!
i love this dress too! Where's it from?
I would love to know where those hanging lanterns are from. They look like flat discs hanging from a light? What a beautiful and dramatic effect.
The hanging lanterns are lovely! They almost look like a DIY project to me... with just a plain metal light and little capiz shell disks hanging down? Would love details!
I absolutely love the earrings that the bride is wearing. Any details on those?
Abby- Thank you so much for featuring mine and Sean's special day on your site. I adore Style Me Pretty and visited this site religiously as we planned our wedding, so it's an honor for me to have my big day highlighted here! Thank you Youngrens for your kind words and, as always, your fabulous pictures.
Thanks for the sweet comments. My dress was by Demetrios. I'm sorry I don't remember what the style was called but I bought it from MaryLinn's in Old Town Pasadena. My earrings were actually clip ons! They were the ONLY ones I could find that i loved so I had to settle for wearing them :) They are from Macy's.
The shell chandeliers were my favorite piece of our decor. Chris Clark is brilliant. These were actually strands from what used to be curtains. (Google: Capiz shell curtains) They were cut and re-attached to a light with a wire ring around it. Definitely a DIY project :)
Hope this helps!
I love the lanterns - really unique. You don't see that shape often. Really sophisticated.
What venue is this??? I need to know! :) Thanks!
Very cute idea with hanging lanterns!
