With a fierce love for "creating a beautiful everyday" and a desire to share it I launched Waiting On Martha, Inc. the lifestyle blog and boutique in 2012. Since then I've been fortunate to work with brands such as kate spade new york, Gap, Old Navy, Smirnoff, VIETRI and General Mills. While also regularly contributing to Style Me Pretty Living, Occasions Magazine, and Euro Style Lighting.

When I'm not Martha I can be found with my husband Anthony and the most perfect Cavalier King Charles in the world, Addison enjoying a little Southern Hospitality in my city of Atlanta.

Likes: wine, sappy music, dining al fresco, singing really loudly in the car
Dislikes: screw top wine bottles, bullies, sharks, the airport

Words to Live By: "You are who you hang out with." "Act like a lady, think like a BOSS." "If you are lucky enough to find a way of life you love, you have to find the courage to live it." "Successful people never worry about what others are doing."

How to Wrap the Perfect Present

While there are so many different things about this time of year I love, I must say wrapping gifts for my loved ones may trump them all. It's a tradition my family takes very seriously. There may even be a yearly competition between my father and I. I always win obviously (just don't tell him that). And over the years I've picked up a few tricks of the family trade I thought I'd share with you all. Happy Holidays Loves! xoxo, Mandy of...

Bruleed Grapefruit & Gin Fizz

In preparation for the many celebrations this time of year naturally brings I've been trying to step outside my comfort zone and create new cocktail combinations. Case in point; my Bruleed Grapefruit & Gin Fizz. By combining the sugary-caramelization from bruleeing with the natural tartness of grapefruit and topping it all off with a dash of lime and a sprig of thyme you'll be toasting this season with the most perfect of sips. Cheers!

Tales Of The Wild Botanicals

Hey guys, Mandy here from Waiting on Martha. I admit it, I'm a sucker for pretty packaging often buying something based on the box it comes in rather than the product itself. So when I discovered Tales of the Wild, a natural, organic botanical company located near the edge of the sea on Vancouver Island, B.C. I was immediately smitten. From perfumes and mists to...

Classic Moscow Mule

When the temps begin to move towards sweater weather, my cocktail menu tends to move towards one of my favorite drinks, Mint Moscow Mule.  By combing tart ginger beer, fresh mint and lime juice stirred up in a copper mug... well all I have to say is cheers! MKR...

Best Ever Sangria

Whenever I entertain, aside from the standard beer and wine, I love to create a signature cocktail. And my go-to summer time cocktail for any gathering is Sangria.  Brimming with fresh fruit Sangria is a gorgeous addition to any table, can easily be prepared the night before, and is always a crowd pleaser.  Cheers!  Truly, MKR  Photography: ...

Spicy Watermelon Salad

When choosing a menu that has to withstand the summer time temperatures, I always like to begin with a refreshing, and preferably cool, first course. My spicy watermelon salad is the perfect blend of sweet and spice, plus it highlights one of summer's biggest stars. Just make sure you let your guests decide how much heat they can handle by placing the sliced jalepeños on the side. Enjoy! Truly, MKR Photography: ...

Easy Summer Gathering

There's nothing I enjoy more than summer nights dining al fresco with my nearest and dearest. I recently gathered friends and set the table with a Mexican inspired meal highlighting summer's flavors. Fresh watermelon, yellow corn, Georgia peaches, and all the heirloom tomatoes I could find. I don't know about you, but after the winter we all had, I'm trying to squeeze every ounce out of summer I can! Truly, MKR...

Mint Watermelon Margarita

When summer rolls around I try to use my absolute favorite fruit, watermelon, in any and every way I can.  So the other night when tiring of my standard margarita and with a bowl full of fresh cut watermelon in the fridge I thought, "yes a watermelon margarita must happen."  And happen it did.  The sweetness of fresh watermelon juice combined with refreshing mint sprigs, tart lime, and tequila will have you sipping all summer long.  truly...

Cheddar Cheese Biscuits

Here in the South we take our biscuits very seriously. So needless to say when attempting a homemade version of this Southern staple for a weekend full of house guests I was a tad on the nervous side. But with a little love, elbow grease, and patience I couldn't be happier with the results. And my house guests must have agreed since there wasn't a biscuit left in the basket. Truly...

How to Prepare for House Guests

This weekend we have some of our closest friends coming to town which means I've been running around getting our home "guest ready". You see, I take the act of hosting very seriously and this act is all about the prep work! Prep work I've got down to five easy steps - it starts with a cocktail (of course) and ends with breakfast. Five easy steps I thought I'd share with you all. Happy weekend! Truly, MKR No. 1 - Ready the...

Bahamian Sky Juice

Last week I hoped on a flight to soak up the sun and sip down some Bahamian Sky Juice at Atlantis, Paradise Island.  This, in my humble opinion, is a local treasure.  A mixture of sweet milk, coconut water, and a little ginny ginny gin over ice...well it doesn't get more refreshing than that.  So whether you're state...

Mint Julep, Three Ways

I've always had a love for The Kentucky Derby. Maybe it's because it falls on my birthday each year? Maybe it's because I'm fond of any event you can wear extra large hats and dainty lace gloves to? Or maybe, and let's be honest, most likely it's because of the mint juleps. The crisp combination of Kentucky bourbon and mint leaves in a silver julep cup, well it just doesn't get any more classic and...

Tips on Foraging for Flowers

When creating the look for my Easter table this year I knew I wanted everything to be very natural and feel like I literally brought the outdoors in. To accomplish that idea I enlisted the help of my friend, and amazing florist Lindsay Coletta. Lindsay is known for her flowing, organic arrangements which are largely made up of foraged flowers and plants. And while the idea of foraging can be quite intimidating, I promise you it's easier and more fun...

A Blossoming Easter Tablescape

Easter has always held a special place in my heart. It's been a time of new pastel dresses for church. The beginning of sunny weather. Sugary confections. Daffodils as far as the eye can see. And most importantly, time spent with friends and family feasting around the table. A table set with a sea of natural yellows and greens, bunny themed plates, and homemade coconut cake. Happy Easter Loves! Truly, MKR Photography:...

Best Ever Bloody Mary

Whether you're enjoying Sunday brunch, tailgating with friends, or a happy hour libation, there's never a bad time for a Bloody Mary. Truth be told, I consider myself somewhat of an aficionado. In fact, I've been perfecting my recipe for years! Borrowing a little inspiration from the River Run Lodge in Idaho, to The Lantern in Illinois. And after all this time, I finally feel like I've perfected it. Enjoy! Truly, MKR...
