Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, it’s fairly safe to say that I live and breathe design. While I edit for Style Me Pretty Living by day, I moonlight as a freelance interior designer by night, and somewhere in between I document it all on my design & lifestyle blog, Lark & Linen.

When I’m not tethered to my computer (there's a solid chance I have a bit of a love affair with my mac), you’re likely to find me drinking bubbly with girlfriends (usually for no reason at all), gathering inspiration at the local antique market, or whipping up one of our mouth-watering recipes in the kitchen.

In short? There isn't a moment that goes by that I don't thank my lucky stars that I get to do what I love every moment of every day.

The Picket Fence Project Home Tour

You know, all too often the term shabby chic gets a bad wrap. Most people typically picture grandma's used hand-me-down furniture. But to me, shabby chic embodies a place that feels lived in, loved, and basically perfect. Enter: The Picket Fence Project's home tour.  Filled to the brim with cozy country vibes with a traditional twist. In other news? I hope Caitlin is looking for a roommate because I'm ready to move in.

Geometric Baby Shower

I'm what you'd call a foodie. There isn't anything I won't try at least once, and I fully judge a party based on it's menu. I know. But I've been to enough events with crustless triangle sandwiches to tell you that quality food is an absolute must. And I'm pretty sure these guys got the memo because this geometric inspired baby shower? It's making me drool left right and center. With photos from ...

Behind the Blog: The Haute Look

What were you doing at 19? Because I'm fairly certain I was watching old episodes of Sex and the City in my sweat pants with my girlfriends. I'm 100% certain I was not running an incredible fashion blog a la The Haute Looks! We recently caught up to talk shop with this sweet girl, and have the photos from Katie Parra to prove it! SMP: Tell us a little...

2nd Birthday Brunch

My love for all things brunch knows no bounds. If it were up to me, I'd indulge in it daily. But since that isn't exactly in the cards (both for my waistline and my wallets sake), I'm just going to go big every once in a while. And what better reason to do so than on your birthday! With stuffed french toast, balloon place settings and individual parfaits! I have to say, sweet little Noelle is one very lucky lady. Twilight Peach al Fresco Dinner

Dining under the stars is one of my very favorite activities. Lately the weather has been begging for an evening the likes of this. Warm and sunny in the day, and perfectly crisp in the evening. In other words? Weather perfection. So I'm itching to throw a soiree a la Juniper & Dash, whose party is quite literally pretty as a peach. Oh and we have more photos...

A Mini-Guide to Nepal

When I was growing up, my brother's best friend hailed from Nepal. He would head back to Kathmandu semi-regularly to visit family, and I  always looked forward to his return where he'd share vivid details about his trip. I always envisioned a magical place, but had forgotten how desperately I used to want to go for myself. That is, until now. One peek at Dash Photography's recent voyage has me...

Sriracha Maple Popcorn

I remember earlier this year there was a rumor that sriracha would be closing it's doors. And I'm not afraid to admit that I nearly had a heart attack. Because, unlike Frank's red hot, I really do put that #@$% on everything. But one thing I have yet to try is One Brass Fox's sriracha maple popcorn. And I think this needs to change immediately. Holy goodness! From...

Black & Gold 30th Birthday Party

I've always had grandiose ideas about my own upcoming future 30th birthday party. Perhaps we'll rent a villa in tuscany or go skydiving over the great barrier reef! Pink & Gray Home Office

Now that I work from home, I spend an inordinate amount of time sitting in my own little corner of our small condominium. After a few months of feeling uninspired by my own workspace, I decided to step up my game and transformed it into a mini office oasis. Though my scheme is black and white with touches of blush, I'm feeling beyond inspired by Deborah Zoe's little slice of pink and gray...
