From the Bride… Before Trent and I were even engaged we knew that the most important things to us in planning our wedding were the venue, food and photographer. The rest was a matter of detail. We already had in mind vendors for these things and stuck with them when we began to plan our wedding. The White House Adelaide Hills in Hahndorf won us over from the very first time that we ate there, through its charm, amazing food, and the lovely people. When we discovered later that year that they did weddings we were sold. White Wall Photography we fell in love with very quickly too. It was at ‘The Eclective” – an Adelaide wedding showcase run by White Wall Photography – that we first saw their work. We were instantly impressed by their beautiful photography style.

Our wedding style was set by the look and feel of our gorgeous venue. We continued on the rustic feel with our props, stationery and flower choices. I relied heavily on wedding blogs and magazines to get ideas for the styling. Some of the props were borrowed from family, while the rest my mum and I bought on our countless op shop and antiquing trips.  All of the stationery for the day I designed myself (both Trent and I are graphic designers so it only made sense). Our flowers were ordered from Norwood Flower Market and then mum and step-mum put the bouquets and centerpieces together. We had jams made as our wedding favours from the orchard that Trent and I were staying at the weekend he proposed. We spent countless hours topping the jam jars with material, twine and name tags. We tried to do as many things as we could ourselves, and delegating to various loved ones, to cut costs and make the wedding more uniquely “us.”

We are so grateful to The White House for their part in the planning of our wedding. Both Trent and I felt very well supported and confident that our wedding was going to be a great day every time we met with them. I think this really did make the whole experience of planning a wedding far less stressful and far more enjoyable! We were so fortunate to meet such wonderful vendors for all of the aspects of our wedding, they really helped to make the day what it was.

Trent and I were married on our six-year anniversary which made the day just that little bit extra special for us. The entire day came together beautifully; everything really just fell into place. It was perfectly overcast which made for fantastic photos – White Wall Photography came across a gorgeous field nearby where they captured some of the best shots of the day. Despite a little rain, it was an amazing, fun-filled and love-filled day, shared with roughly 50 of our closest family and friends. There’s nothing quite like having everyone you love in the same place at the same time to help celebrate such a beautiful commitment. We will treasure the memories of our wedding weekend forever.
