Moet & Chandon, garden roses and an elegant backyard… if I could hand-pick elements for a wedding re-do, these would all be a part of the mix. Captured by Bentinmarcs Fine Art Photography, this day is a collection of gorgeous images, an intimate gathering of loved ones and a Bride who literally outfitted the entire wedding party with the help of her mom. From Bentinmarcs Fine Art Photography…Sarah & Tristan had the sweetest intimate wedding held in their backyard with the closet friends and family members. To make the wedding even more amazing was the fact that Sarah and her Mum Kathy from The Ivory Gown made all the dresses, suits and Sarah’s beautiful wedding gown. I truly felt that I was part of the family, never feeling more welcomed at a wedding I even had my own table setting amongst the 18 guests.
From The Bride…I was never one of those girls who had her wedding dress planned in detail from a young age, which might be surprising considering I work with bridal gowns every day. I knew I wanted to include elements reminiscent of the glamour of the “Old Hollywood’ era, but largely let the design evolve as it was being made. I used all silk fabrics with the most beautiful, delicately beaded and sequinned lace and played around with the detail on the bodice until it looked just right. I had intended to sew silk covered buttons down the back of the dress, but I adored the way the lace looked without them, which meant I had to think of a new way to finish the back. The best and most seamless way was to be stitched into the dress! Although this might sound stressful to some, it actually felt really calming to have my mother slowly and carefully place the last stitches on the lace moments before the wedding. Having the opportunity to create my wedding dress with my mother was truly something special, and funnily enough one of the greatest fans of my dress became my dog, a 50kg Maremma, who sat right next to me on my silk train at every opportunity she could get!

Here’s a bride and groom that really know how to throw a wedding. They choose an amazing locale (the breathtaking Glen Ewin Wine Estate), invite all of their nearest and dearest and team up with a talented team of vendors (think In The Booth, Flowers On Your Mind and WesBeelders Photography) to bring their dreams to complete and total reality. Seriously lovely. See it all in the full gallery.
From the Bride… I loved every moment of our wedding day. Glen Ewin Estate made us feel so comfortable in the lead up to the day, we really felt like they had everything under control, which was reflected by the relaxed, warm and fun atmosphere of the day. Our celebrant created a truly unique and personal ceremony for us which was greatly praised by all our family and friends. With every step of our wedding preparation we felt incredibly taken care of by all our amazing and experienced vendors. Together they made for an easy and wonderful wedding full of incredible memories. I cannot praise Bridal on Pulteney enough for their service on helping me choose a dress that was right for me and within my budget. Our photographer, Wes Beelders, offers an engagement photo shoot prior to the wedding, and this allowed us to get comfortable with him and being in front of the camera. I believe this was an amazing service by him as we were able to see his product before our big day, and feel truly at ease on the day that all our precious moments would be captured perfectly. Our friends and family were able to capture their own fun wedding moments with InTheBooth’s photobooth – the only booth vendor that has 15 second videos! My husband and I cried with laughter when we watched all the videos after the wedding. The day went perfectly, which I attribute greatly to several aspects: the skill of our vendors putting us at ease, and the love my husband and I have for each other, surrounded by all the people that love us in return.

What do you get when you combine a stunning (and I mean stunning) bouquet from Poppies Flowers with one seriously sweet duo frolicking along the Adelaide Hills countryside? The world’s most adorable engagement session. One that is filled with poppies, peonies and roses… and smiles for miles and miles. See every heartwarming moment captured by Carla Micucci right here.
From Carla Micucci Photography… Phylia and Jin are just the cutest! For their engagement session we ventured into the gorgeous Adelaide Hills to the Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens. The autumn colours were amazing in April and we were lucky to score an overcast afternoon with the most perfect light! We chatted and laughed and discussed all things wedding! I am so looking forward to their wedding at the end of the year!
Poppies Flowers supplied Phylia with a gorgeous posy filled with David Austin roses and Poppies.
