Grab a hold of your seats, SMPers, because this wedding is sure to blow you away thanks to all of the ah-mazing images from Lachlan Burrell Photography. From the lovely rose bush planted months ahead by friends of the bride and groom, to the surprise bright red Mustang from Sydney Mustangs gifted by the mother of the bride (for their very own roof-down, cruising-by-the-beach enjoyment) these two were certainly blessed with a great support team for their big day. And you haven’t seen anything until the knockout location of Putty Beach for some of the most to-die-for beach images that little bloggers like me only dream about. From the Groom… Relieved to wake up to a sunny day after a week of rainy weather, we got ready for the wedding at our respective houses with family and friends. The service ran smoothly with Ngaire arriving on cue looking stunning as ever. Our friends planted two rose bushes several months in advance, timed to bloom near the wedding day, and they did so. The mother of the bride surprised us with a bright red mustang brought out the front of the church during the service, and we had a beautiful drive with the roof down out to Killcare via Macmasters Beach. Photos were taken on the rocks at Putty Beach, and we arrived in the late afternoon at our reception at the Killcare Surf Club. The decorator (who we named “Fronk” after the “Father of the Bride” movies) had the venue set up exactly as we had dreamed. Guests were served tapas-style dishes including noodle boxes and mini lamb burgers with refreshing cocktails from the lemonade stand. We made the most of the afternoon sun by escaping down to the beach for a photo shoot with the ever-creative Lachlan Burrell.
Ngaire and I met by chance at Bathurst right before she was about to move to the central coast. Taking the opportunity to show her the coast, we quickly developed a strong friendship, and after a year or so, I proposed to her. It almost didn’t happen — she had other plans come up for the day, and I practically had to drag her up Wamberal Beach to the rocks and lookout at the north end of the beach before proposing. We celebrated with a picnic on the beach.
