There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t fall MADLY in love with a stunning Australian soiree – and today’s glorious Sydney affair?  Well, it has me downright speechless.  A modern gem chock-full of amazing details, it’s a crazy cool color palette all wrapped up in breathtaking images by The Follans and one of the most beautiful cakes I have ever laid my eyes upon by Yummy Cupcakes & Cakes.  Add to all of that awesome one seriously gorgeous (and oh-so-talented) bride and groom and, well.  Such a perfect Monday.  See so much more right here.

From the Bride… Grant and I met on my year 12 formal weekend back in November 2005. We had a penthouse hotel for the weekend, and Grant came along with my friend’s cousin to hang out. Initially, I was under the impression that he had eyes for one of my other friends, until he found my leopard print bikini lying around and found out it was mine! Ha ha. We then began chatting about what I wanted to do after school, and I discovered Grant was a graphic designer – what I wanted to study. You could say there was a bit of a chase (ok, quite a long chase – two months, to be exact) until I finally let him take me out to dinner.

We planned everything for the wedding ourselves, along with renovating our house (purchased in October 2011) working full time AND running our own businesses on the side (Grant – Intense Designs, Rena – Sweet Couture). We designed our own guestbook, invites, cookie tags, table menus, clothes hanger tags, jewellery boxes for both bridal parties and created “I do” on bottom of the bridal shoes.

Originally we were going to go with a church ceremony. However after some struggles, we decided to go with a garden wedding – and couldn’t have been happier! All of our guests were complimenting our ceremony and location. It was short and simple, yet beautiful and elegant. The staff were great and the garden was set up amazingly.

The Loft at Doltone House – WOW, what a venue! We had looked at several other venues before this one and felt we hadn’t seen the “right” one. The moment we stepped into The Loft we were both mesmerised and instantly knew we had found our reception venue. I can’t express how amazing and accommodating all the staff were at Doltone House. The food was great, and our guests were saying after that it was the best wedding they had ever been to! The whole day was a highlight for us and went so fast! We would probably have to say our favorite part was dancing the night away with our guests and of course the opening drum session.

I don’t think words can express how happy we both were (family and guests included) with The Follans! We are so so glad that we did choose you guys (Thanks, Kelly, for the recommendation). They were amazing on the wedding day, and the photos even more amazing than expected. We cannot wait for our album and the rest of the package items — we want to get married all over again so we can use The Follans a second time!
