An image captured by Stewart Leishman Photography  is like the golden ticket to a day full of eye candy. And he has this way of showcasing the moments in between all the big stuff that really make a wedding shine. A leisurely stroll, a stolen kiss; it’s these beautiful photographs that we can’t ever seem to get enough. From the Groom… Fiona and I knew of each for probably about a year before we actually met. We have a mutual friend who was never shy in telling us how perfect we would be for each other if only we could just meet. The problem was we were always in relationships. But still our friend went on and on about it. When I was finally single and fully unattached, I thought I’d take matters into my own hands and arrange for us to meet. But instead of a blind date, I contacted Fi as a journalist (my profession) and asked to interview her as a psychologist (her profession). Dodgy I know, but I really did need to interview a psych for a story, and from my friend’s descriptions, she was the prettiest one in Melbourne. Well, she was right. What a honey, but also intelligent and a great conversationalist. We had three coffees and didn’t want to stop talking. I proposed to Fi 10 months later and married her five months after that. Do whatever it takes for love is probably the moral of the story, even if you have to bend the rules a little.
