A sweet DIY affair and an even sweeter pair of Sydney lovebirds – when it comes to crazy crushes, it doesn’t get much bigger than my love for this darling Breakfast Point soiree. The magical setting, the lovely blue hues, that beyond awesome candy bar… if this isn’t a doodle in my notebook and cover my walls in posters kind of L.O.V.E., than I don’t know what is. All styled by the oh-so-talented (and uber-stunning!) bride and snapped up in gorgeous images by Welsch Photography, I’m growing more obsessed by the minute. Care to join me? See it all here.
From the Bride… For Mitch and me, it was very important that our wedding day represented each of us individually, as well as bringing that fairy tale wedding I’d always dreamed of to life. We were on a strict budget, but it was very important to us to have all our friends and family share the special day with us. So we had to get creative! I found the cutest hall at Breakfast Point and and based a lot of my inspiration for styling from that. We spent most of our engagement period buying old furniture off eBay and painting it up, as well as sourcing various decorations from odd places. We even took a trip up to the Hunter Valley to hand-pick all our wine! I did all the styling myself, which was lots of fun and really reflected us as a couple throughout the day. From the cute soap favors, to the program fans, to the tiny detailing on the vases — it was all handmade with love. It was important to us that our guest felt all the personal touches!
The day overall was everything we had dreamed of — the perfect fairy tale day! My inspiration words for all the styling were French, elegance and fairytale! It was so much fun turning up in horse and cart and feeling like a real princess for the day! Although it rained the two weeks prior, the day turned out to be a perfect sunny day which was so special to us!
