This Sydney wedding by Tim Coulson is a little bit La Dolce Vita, a little bit modern and a whole lot of fabulous!  I don’t think I’ve ever seen a couple look so dapper – he in his sleek black suit and she in both her glam Vera Wang and mod reception dress.  From the church to the boathouse every detail is impeccable and stunning.  This is definitely a wedding to bookmark for many inspirational returns!  Click here to see it all!

From the Bride… We had been together for around seven years when we got engaged. We were never that keen on a big wedding or weddings as such. Over the years we have formed many great friendships, and as a result we decided to celebrate our engagement on a grander scale and have a smaller, intimate wedding with 90 of our closest friends and family. We did not want to have a typical bridal party but wanted moral support on the day, so Luke had his best mate Daniel and I had my sister Chantel. We let them wear what they wanted. Organising the wedding was so easy and everything just fell into place. The Boathouse on Blackwattle Bay was our first venue choice, as food and wine was our main priority for the wedding, and the view was an added bonus. The Boathouse ran the evening flawlessly.  All the decorations we did with the help of family and friends, and with the amazing flowers, the place looked incredible. The flowers were supplied by Seed Flora. Elizabeth understood exactly what I wanted — deconstructed, clean-cut and modern but still romantic.

When growing up I never pictured myself getting married in a church, I had always pictured a outdoor wedding — until Sydney’s summer of 2011/12. The wettest three months in over 40 years — great. So the ceremony site search changed from outdoors to a church. We googled catholic churches in Sydney until we found St. Bede Pyrmont. The perfect-looking church in the perfect location to the Boathouse. And that led us to met Father Baron, who had the same views about marriage and gave such a great relaxed vibe that we just loved. He even delayed his hip operation to marry us!

I believe in that everything happens for a reason, and within three months of the wedding we had to cancel our first photographer, which put us on a new search for a photographer who was a, available and b, was someone who would capture our wedding the way we wanted. Say hello to Tim Coulson. Tim was exactly what we wanted and more. When we first met him it felt like we were friends.  Not only is he a great person, his work is beautiful. Our favorite part of the day was definitely the dance floor. The one thing we really wanted was a full dance floor.  From dancing with my dad to “It’s a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong to dancing with Luke to “Big Jet Plane” by Angus and Julia Stone, the dance floor was pumping till the venue closed. We can’t thank our band, English and the Doc, enough. They are the best. Fullstop. From not wanting a wedding to having the best day of our lives (so far), we can’t thank everyone enough for making our day so special.
