From the Bride…Rohan and I met more than 8 years ago on a university pub crawl at a ‘infamous’ Canberra nightclub, which always gets a laugh out of anyone who knows the club. Roh proposed 7 years later at our favourite coastal town, Merimbula. Whilst we “ummed and aahhed” about getting engagement shoots after seeing a number on Style Me Pretty we were quickly convinced. We are so glad that we did. It was such a great way to get dressed up, get some beautiful photos and get to know our incredibly talented photographer, Kelly Tunney, before the big day. Kelly Tunney is not only an amazing photographer but also so much fun to be around. I contacted Kelly Tunney the Monday after we got engaged and we booked her an hour after we met her. We felt instantly at ease with her and had an absolute blast having these photos taken.
We were very keen to capture a bit of our life in Canberra before we moved interstate. This way we were able to get pictures in our home and areas around our home we loved to visit. I even got to wear my mother’s wedding dress in the shoot! It’s the white lace and cotton dress, which I had shortened to the knee. We wanted it to be very relaxed and be reflective of a normal Sunday morning, well with a great photographer coming along and a few twists.
