Bathhurst Bohemian Wedding by McBride Studio

September 1st. 2011 by Emilia Jane | Filed Under | 10 comments

As far as bohemian weddings go this Bathurst beauty by McBride Studio is the ultimate.  A smokin’, halo-wearing, barefoot bride from France, her handsome Australian fella and a beyond adorable flower child babe as the bridesmaid.    Easy, carefree details and lovely, wispy florals make this casual, al fresco hippie lovefest a total stunner.  See it all in the full gallery!

From McBride StudioThe wedding took place on his parents farm in Bathhurst. Emilie is from France and Ryan is a chef/ restaurant owner. Ryan is from Manly and Emilie the south of France. Emilie wanted the wedding to have a hippie-rock, casual and very relaxed feel. He proposed while on holiday with Emilie in the south of France. They had just been to the local market shopping and he bent down on one knee, in the middle of an amazing vineyard, and asked the big question. They had their little girl at the wedding, (only 6 months old ) Eva-Luna. She was Emilie’s bridesmaid. They asked for donations to the starlight foundation instead of wedding gifts. They both now live in Manly NSW Australia.

Australia and France; did they meet at a sporting event? Nice to see a bride looking really happy in every picture.

I can't believe their daughter is only 6 months old! How alert she is and how fabulous Mom looks! They all look really happy; I can imagine how special this was for them celebrating as a brand new family!
On a style note, I love the minimalist all-white palette with simple touches of rustic things like the heart chalkboards and all the hippie-rock touches. They are cool folks, looks like!

So good to see a wedding with some 'edge'. Love the photography.. it really captures the mood of the day - romantic and beautiful and not at all stylised like a lot of wedding photography usually is. The couple and their baby are beautiful.
